Mortal Kombat has always been and always will be. Stories tell of a deadly tournament held on an ancient island. People pass these stories off as legends, and myths, but this tournament is in fact real. Raiden has gathered a group of heroes to represent Earth in this tournament. A group heroes that might not get along well. They'll have to trust each other if they want to survive.

1. You're invited

Mortal Kombat has always been, and always will be. For centuries a deadly tournament has been held at a remote location somewhere out in the pacific ocean. Stories say that this tournament takes place on a gorgeous island filled with undocumented creatures, new forms of wildlife, and many other things. Many people have dismissed this tournament as nothing more then legends, and myths, but in fact, it is real. Fighters have been invited from all over the world to compete in the blood bath ahead. I have recruited each of you, because I see the potential. I feel that one of you will win this tournament. Some of you may have issues with each other, but I need you all to stand united. When you all are out there fighting the only allies you'll have are each other. You'll be facing ruthless enemies with powers unheard of. Good luck to you all. You'll need it.
