Hello Everyone!

This is my first fanfiction ever! So I decided to use 6th gen because I am most familiar with it and I like it. A little background: I grew up on Pokémon. I have played every generation so far, and I love them all! (Some more than others for nostalgia, among other reasons). For those of you who don't speak Japanese the Jundo region was one I made up. (duh, right?) It means "purity" in Japanese, there may be a reason behind that, but you will have to read my story to find out. Feel free to critique me, review, follow or whatevs strikes your fancy. Don't hesitate to ask questions, either. I might not tell you because of spoilers, but I will try to answer all of them to the best of my ability. Those that are too personal will receive a response like: "Too personal. Please ask something else." Or something like that. I chose Pokes from each generation to get a mix of different regions. There will be romance, sex and cursing, (Probably rated T, not sure though), but I don't know if I will do lemons (That might scar my Pokémon memories!) But I'll think about it. Let me know if you want or need to know anything! Without further ado: Robby's Grand Undertaking!

*Note: Pokémon will speak with () around their text. I will explain why later but I like to think that it would be cool if trainers could understand what they were saying.

Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon (wish I did though). All Pokémon descriptions, abilities, moves and any other relevant information comes from Serebii or Bulbapedia.

Chapter 1: The Beginning

There was motion in the house. A young woman in her mid-thirties was standing in front of a stove and was flipping pancakes on a griddle. She had light brown hair, stood around 5'6", and was wearing a blue t-shirt, orange sweatpants and pink buneary slippers. Taking a deep breath, she inhaled the aroma of the pancakes. She exhaled loudly and looked at the pancakes sizzling. "Oran Berry, my favorite." Smiling, she looked out the open window to her left and watched the pidgeys, pidoves, and starlys flying around chirping sweetly to one another. Other pokemon were playing in the fields, trees and ponds around town. A loud squeaking noise came from behind her and she turned around to find her youngest son, of two, bent over and panting heavily. Looking up he smiled at his mom, "Is food ready?" He asked. "It will be shortly, Tommy. Go get your brother. I think he is still sleeping in his room, that slugma." "OK, mom." Tommy responded. Tommy (or Tom for short) was a young energetic boy of 10. He had light brown hair like his mother. He was wearing a red t-shirt, blue shorts, and yellow sneakers. Tommy was also very naughty. He would play pranks on everyone he knew. But never out of anger, always in good fun. He ran upstairs to get His older brother, Robby, up. Then he had an idea. Walking past his brother's room. He went into his own and grabbed a Gengar mask and put it over his face. "This will get his blood pumping," he snickered as he snuck back to his brother's door. Opening the door slowly as to not make any loud noises that might wake Robby up prematurely, he tiptoed across the floor and knelt down next to the bed, right in his brother's face. Tapping him on the shoulder, Robby stirred but didn't wake up. Tommy poked him again and he still didn't wake up. Becoming frustrated, he poked Robby in the shoulder once more. Slowly, Robby stirred and opened his eyes. "Not... now..." he mumbled to himself. Before he realized what was going on, Tommy shouted "BOO!" The shout startled Robby and sent him crashing out of the bed screaming "WHAT THE FUCK, TOM?" Tom could help himself, rolling on the floor, laughing his ass off. "Come here so I can kill you, ya little bastard!" Robby yelled as he chased Tom out the door, who was still laughing. They ran downstairs, Robby hot on his heels. He tackled Tom to the floor and they started punching and kicking each other. "Hey, break it up!" a voice shouted. They ignored her, going back to their fight. Not five seconds later each brother being pulled from one another and lifted off the ground, and came face to face with and annoyed Charizard. She had an orange and cream colored body, orange and blue wings, with a tail sprouting a small flame, dragon-like pokemon was staring them both in the eyes, not happy with their behavior. (I must have told you two a thousand times, stop fighting!) The two boys were not scared of the dragon's presence at all and immediately pointed to the other and said "He started it!" The Charizard stomped her foot, making the house shake. (I DON"T CARE WHO STARTED IT, IT'S DONE NOW! Tommy, go sit at the table, Robby go upstairs and get ready for the day.) With that she released the two brothers and they ran to do their assigned tasks, but not before Tommy turned around and stuck his tongue out at the dragon. "Meanie," he said running into the kitchen. She then heard another voice from the kitchen, one she instantly recognized as her trainer. "Ember, could you come here for a moment? I wanted to talk to you." The orange dragon lumbered into the kitchen, careful not to touch anything with her tail. She stood behind her trainer, waiting for her to say something. "You didn't have to be so stern to them. There just growing up. Were we so different?" Ember thought back to her days as a Charmander and Charmeleon, how she gave Cassandra an incredibly tough time handling her. She smiled and looked at her trainer. (I guess were weren't so different. Remember when I saw you naked in that stream?) Cassandra turned around, her face was bright red. "I thought I said we were never to speak of that again," she hissed. The Charizard moved into a defensive position. (I'm sorry! I forgot!) The color slowly returned to her trainer's face. (Anyway that's not what I meant. They were at it again and I wanted them to stop.) Cassandra sighed "It's alright. Just try not to destroy the house in the process next time." She tuned back to the stove. Ember leaned in and whispered into her ear, (Alright …Cassie) and let out a puff of hot air in her face. Cassandra stood rigid as a pancake slipped and fell on the floor. Without missing a beat, Ember picked up the pancake and shoved it in her mouth. (I'll be outside… all day.) She smiled and laughed as she walked out the back door into the yard behind their house as her trainer stood frozen to the spot with a look of horror on her face.

About fifteen minutes later, Robby came down the stairs, dressed and ready for the day. He was 18, stood about 5'9" and had dirty blonde hair. He wore a black and silver shirt, black and red shorts and black and red shoes. He walked into the kitchen to see his mother serving the last of the pancakes to the table, though her hands were shaking a bit. "You alright mom?" he asked with some concern. "I'm… fine, just a bit tired that's all." She said. When the two boys had sat down and began to dig into breakfast she looked out the window and stuck her tongue out at Ember, who just waved back. "So Robby, have you given any thought to leaving home?" she asked, turning away from the window. Robby nearly chocked on his next bite. "What? Why would I do that? I love it here." "I know you do, but you don't really do anything here, just really walk around town." She said in between bites of pancake. "Besides, you don't even have a pokemon. Everyone else I around town does." "Because, mom, I don't really want any of the pokemon here. I like them sure. But they don't want to stay with me. And I don't want to force any of them to." His mother smiled. "Well, then how about going on an adventure? You would meet many nice poekmon and maybe even strike up some friendships… with the ladies." All the color appeared to drain from Robby's face, and he sputtered, searching for an answer. His mother giggled at her son's uncomfortableness. "I was just kidding… or was I? Doesn't matter though. I wasn't kidding about going on an adventure. In fact let me call Professor Willow right after breakfast. She is a friend of mine and her lab is on the other side of town. I'm sure she will help." Robby gave her a look of uncertainty. "Just meet her, please? Then you can decide whether or not you want to go." Robby lowered his head and sighed. "Fine, mom. I'll go right now." He got up and walked for the front door. "Can I go too, mom?" Tom asked when his brother had closed the door. They were clearing the table. "No, honey. You're too young. Plus you already have a pokemon." Just then, a poochyena, a little black and grey wolf-like pokemon with yellow and red eyes, ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. His mother giggled placing one of the uneaten pancakes on the floor. The little wolf grabbed it and ran off.

Robby was walking down the dirt road, observing the peace and tranquility around him. This is nice. I wonder what this Professor Willow is like. He did not notice that someone was running down the hill chasing a pidgey. "Bubbles, water gun!" Robby looked around, only to get his face blasted by a stream of clear blue water, knocking him off his feet. Coughing up water, he looked around for his attacker. What he found didn't surprise him though. It was a Marill, a small spherical, blue pokemon with a white belly, and a springy tail that also ended with a blue ball. And it didn't look happy. (What they heck? You got in my shot!) She cried angrily. Her trainer ran up next to her. "Oh, it's just you. You let that pidgey get away you owe me big time, Robby!" She had red hair that came down to her lower back, emerald eyes and was wearing a green top and pink knee-length skirt. She was one of the cheerleaders at Robby's high school. She glared at him, hands on her hips. Robby started to laugh. "What's so funny, huh?" She asked angrily. "You." Robby pointed at her and continued to laugh. When she didn't answer him, he continued. "You look like a damn watermelon." She had a look of shock on her face, but it quickly settled to anger. "Bubbles, water gun!" She yelled and Robby stopped laughing just in time to get blasted in the face again with another stream of water. (Next time don't get in my way! Humph!) Robby sat up, soaked to the bone. "Noted, Bubbles." Her trainer's eyes opened wide. "Wait, you understood her?!" She said, shocked. "Yes, Krystal." He said, with a bit of edge to his voice. "Now if you don't mind, I need to get to the professor's lab." He stood up and wiped off all the water he could and was glad it was a hot, summer day. He was walking away when Krystal snapped out of her shock and ran after Robby. "Wait, I want to ask you something, well two things actually." Robby looked at her, but just kept walking. "One, how can you understand Bubbles and why are you going to the professor's lab." Robby frowned, he hated speaking about this, especially to her, but she asked, so it was only fitting to give her an answer. "I could always understand what pokemon were saying, my whole family actually, but I never understood why. As to the second question, my mom wanted me to meet this professor, to try to convince me to go on a journey." "Well I already have a pokemon, Bubbles. Had her since I was little. We have to go back to the lab to pick up my Pokédex." Robby opened his mouth to say something, but decided it was better to keep silent. They continued following the path toward the lab, Bubbles trailing behind.

They arrived at a white building, with lots of large windows. There were lots of different pokemon around playing and helping scientists with their research. The men and women in white coats were taking readings and writing down observations of different interactions. The trainers walked past, waving to some of the scientists they knew. The double doors opened and their eyes were greeted with plenty more scientists, machines, and pokemon. In the center of it all was a woman. This women noticed the two and walked over to them with an outstretched hand. "Hello! Krystal, it's good to see you again! You must be Robby. Your mother told me good things about you! Welcome, my name is Professor Willow." She stood average height, had auburn hair, a green dress with a lab coat over it, and a clipboard in one hand. They shook her hand and followed her to another room. "As you can see, our research is how pokemon and people can interact with each other to form strong bonds. We hope this will lead to breakthroughs in trainer-pokemon communication. She smiled at them and continued through to the next room, this one only had cabinets, a PC, and a table with two different colored devices one it, one black and red, the other was pink and blue. "Here we are, you two." She gestured to the room. This is where you will receive your pokemon, Robby, and both of you will get a pokedex as well. "Professor Willow, I have a question. What is a pokedex?" Krystal and Bubbles started laughing, but the professor seemed unfazed. "Well Robby, the pokedex is a device that automatically records some data on pokemon you encounter in the wild. It will give you more details about that particular pokemon if you manage to capture it. Now let's get you a pokemon, shall we Robby?" He nodded with some enthusiasm and she walked over to the first cabinet and opening it, only to reveal that it was empty. Professor willow sweat dropped. "Whoops. Sorry about that. I forgot that we recently had quite a few young children come to our lab to become pokemon trainers. We handed out many pokemon today. They proceeded to the next one. But it was also empty, as was the next and the next. They came to the last cabinet. Robby took a deep breath and the professor opened it, revealing the contents of the last one: completely empty, just like all the others. "Wow, there aren't any pokemon left. Robby I'm really sorry. I got your hopes up for nothing." Robby shook his head. "No. its ok. I didn't really want to go on a journey anyway. I guess it is better that there weren't any left." He turned to walk away but realized something. "Hey Krystal, where is Bubbles?" She looked annoyed, but when she looked down she realized her Marill wasn't with her. "Bubbles where are you?" she called out. (I'm right here, you don't have to yell. Hey. Robby I found this.) She rolled the object across the floor, where professor willow picked it up. She pressed the button on it and it enlarged itself. It was spherical in shape, the top half being grey with four blue lumps on it, the bottom half was pure white, along with the button in the middle, with a black ring around the equator. "Hmm, I haven't seen this ball in a while. I wonder what is inside." Professor Willow thought out loud. "What is that pokeball, professor? I have never seen it before." Krystal asked. "It's a heavy ball, it works better at catching heavier pokemon." She put the ball in an indentation in the table and picked up the pokedexes. "Here are the pokedexes as promised. Just use your thumbs to open them and put in the information it asks you for." As they filled out the information boxes, professor Willow handed each of them 10 standard red and white pokeballs and then checked on the heavy ball. She looked at her clipboard as readings came across it. Hmm. That's interesting. I never saw this ball before today. Well it doesn't belong to any trainer, so could give it to Robby, but we have no idea what it is. But what could be the harm in that. Robby came here for a pokemon and here is the only one left. Why not? She looked at the readings again. This pokemon seems to be different from others. But that is for a later time. "Alright professor, all done!" Krystal said, holding her completed pokedex up to the professor's face. "Good. Don't lose them. They don't grow on trees, you know. Alright Robby, take this ball and place it in the opening in the dex. It will scan the ball and register whatever pokemon is inside to your care. But this will only work for your own balls, no one else's. Go ahead and try it now." She said smiling. Robby placed the ball in the opening in the middle of the pokedex. A green light was emitted for five seconds then faded away. This pokemon has been registered. Congratulations! "Now what?" Robby said turning to Krystal, who had an annoyed look on her face. "Call it out you moron." She said flatly. Robby looked at the ball in his hands. "Umm… come out?" he said uncertainly. The ball opened and released a red beam of light that arced to the floor. It grew brighter for a moment than dispersed, leaving behind a small pokemon. It had four legs and plates of armor that covered its head and back. It had two blue eyes along with two holes on its back and a short, dull spike as well. It looked around and saw a human with a ball in its hands. It cocked its head curiously. Robby pulled out his new pokedex and scanned the small pokemon: Aron, the Iron Armor Pokémon. Height: 1' 5". Weight: 135 lbs. This pokemon has a body of steel. To make its body, Aron feeds on iron ore that it digs from mountains. Occasionally, it causes major trouble by eating bridges and rails. It has the typing of steel and rock. This one is male. His known moves are: Tackle, Harden, Head Smash and Superpower. Please look at the attacked strengths and weaknesses chart. Error detct… Robby closed the dex and looked at the Aron. "Wow you eat iron? That is so cool!" Robby said, smiling and kneeling down to his level. He slowly extended his hand toward the little Aron and started to pat it on the head. The Aron continued to look at him, confused. "Hi, I'm Robby and I am your new trainer." He said and stopped patting him. The Aron suddenly bit down on Robby's hand. Hard. (Piss off, ya weakling!) Tears welled in Robby's eyes as the pain in his hand reached his brain. "OWWW!" he yelled, clutching his hand. That is when Aron took the opportunity to tackle Robby in the stomach, sending him sprawling. The Aron ran out of the room. Robby took off in pursuit. Krystal, Bubbles, and professor Willow in tow.

"Hey, wait up. I just want to talk!" Robby said panting heavily outside the lab. (Talk to the ass, fool!) The Aron said, laughing. "That isn't very nice." Robby said, catching his breath. The Aron stopped laughing. (Wait. You understood what I said?) Robby simply nodded. "What is your name, little guy?" The Aron growled. (I'm not little!) He shouted. Robby held up his hands. "Sorry, I was not trying to offend you. Besides, I would probably lose my lunch if you hit me like that again." The Aron started laughing. (That face was funny! Do it again.) "No." Robby said. The Aron frowned. (Fine. Be a spoil sport. I was never given a name.) "Well, what do you want to be called?" The Aron thought for a moment as the others caught up to Robby. "Well, did you give that little troublemaker a name?" Krystal said as she walked up to Robby. "Nope. I'm letting him choose it. Didn't want to call him something he didn't like and have him bite me again." (Damn strait,) the Aron said, deep in thought. Krystal looked at him as if he had just slapped her across the face. "You're just plain weird Robby. Let's see what stupid name he chooses for himself. (Bitch.) He whispered, luckily no one heard him. (Yo, fool. I've chosen. I'll go with Ace. Now stop staring at her boobs and lets rock and roll.) Ace then turned and walked towards the nearest house. (Hey, don't be mean. You should respect your trainer.) Ace turned and growled at Bubbles. (Whatever, I'll do what I want, Fatty) that really made the Marill angry. Without her trainer's command, she launched a stream of water and hit Ace directly in the back, sending him flying a few feet. All three humans looked on in shock. Robby snapped out of it first and ran to Ace's side. "Ace!" he yelled. He tried to shake him awake but no luck, he was out cold. He was about to pick up ace but remembered he weighed almost 150 lbs. Even though he was athletic, Ace was heavy enough that he could pull something. Pulling out the ball he recalled Ace. He started running towards his house yelling his thanks to Professor Willow, Krystal in tow, scolding her Marill.

That is guys and girls! Chapter 1 of Robby's adventure. Wow, that was fun to will happen when Ace wakes back up and Robby is there to greet him? How will his mother react to their injuries? Can he still go on his adventure? These questions and more will be answered in the next chapter! So stat tuned to find out. I don't have a solid update schedule because of school and work, but I'll try to get out a chapter a week. Please don't be angry if no chapter arrives, I'll try to put one up ASAP.
