Failure
Chapter 1: Stranger in the jungle.

"Hey Kakashi, are we there yet?" Naruto asked in a bored tone.
"No we still have a ways to go!" Kakashi replied annoyed by the constant questioning by Naruto.
Team Kakashi were on a mission to spy on the Akatsuki. The night was creeping ever so slowly on them. That night at the camp Sai was drawing a picture of Team Kakashi.
Suddenly there was a kunai whizzing through the air and slamming into the next to Naruto. Naruto jumped up and immediately started searching for the attacker. He saw nothing until something rustled in the bushes. Without thinking he though a kunai. There was a screech of terror as ninja jumped out of the bush. Naruto saw his headband, he knew it was a mist village ninja.
"Who are you," Naruto demanded "Why did you through that kunai at me?"
A few moments later Sakura, Sai, and Captain Yamato came running through the bushes. They stopped immediately once they saw the enemy.
All of a sudden Naruto ran screaming and attacked the enemy. He jumped up and back flipped through the air and started forming hand signs.
"Watch out!" Captain Yamato screamed as if the world was about to end.
Then Naruto noticed that the enemy was using 'Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu'. Naruto jumped out of the way and discretely made a 'Shadow Clone'. The enemy through a kunai as if anticipating the attack. The kunai slammed into Naruto's chest. Blood shoot out of his body. Naruto laid still, then in a poof of smoke it disappeared. Naruto appeared right behind him and slashed out with his kunai, kncking him off the branch.
A few hours later the ninja woke up tied to a chair. He tried to wiggle to find a lose spot. The rope was tied to tight and to well. Naruto, Sakura, Sai, and Yamato came through the trees carrying berries and fruit. Naruto set the berries down on a tree stump and walked over to the tied up man.
"What is your name and why did you attack us."
"My name is Var and I was paid to kill you Naruto."
"Who paid you and why?"
"They told me to kill you and I would have become extremely rich."
"Who is they?!"
"The Akatsuki or something like that."
