A Choice to Make

Chapter 1:"I Promise"

Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Click.

Kagome had just turned off her alarm clock. She got out of bed with a groan, as she made her way to the shower to get ready for school. She used cucumber-melon shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. After she got out she laid her clothing for school. Her shirt was pink with words in blue saying "Material Girl" with a pair of pant that are purple, maroonish dark checkered pants, and her favorite pair of Tommy Hilfiger shoes that are navy blue with hot pink stripes. After she finished changing, and started getting her stuff in her backpack. "Kagome get your ass to school before your late, again!" shouted her father Naraku from the living room. Kagome let out an annoyed sigh, "Mind your own damn business I'll leave when I'm good and ready Naraku!" shouted Kagome from her bedroom door.

She ran out the door with a piece of toast in her mouth. On her way to school she ran into Houjo the guy who had a crush on her since the 5th grade. 'Oh, man I don't have time for this shit.' She put on a fake smile "Hi Houjo what's wrong school is the other way, why are you running this way?" asked Kagome. "Nothing Kagome I just saw you so I thought I'd walk you to school." said Houjo in a caring voice. 'He's going to ask me on a date I tell by the sound in his voice' grimaced Kagome. On the way to school there was an odd silence, but then it was interrupted by Houjo's voice. "Hey Kagome, I was just wondering if you wanted to go out with me on Saturday to the D/M Club?" asked Houjo with the sound of obvious hope in his question. Kagome thought it over and realized her father was going to have "Poker Night" with his buds on that night so she answered "Ya sure I'll go Houjo." knowing it would give Houjo pure glee. "Awesome, I'll pick you up at 6:00p.m. ok." said Houjo. "Ok Houjo" she said as they left for class. As she was in class she barely paid attention in class because she knew D/M club would have Karaoke Night on Saturdays so she spent most of her time looking for a song to sing at the club.

With Kagome after School

Kagome was on her way back home, thinking about what to sing at the club when her thoughts were interrupted by her friends' shouting. "Hey Kagome, wait up will ya!" shouted Shippo. She looked back to see Shippo, Sango, and Miroku running up to her. As they finally caught up with her, she and Sango started gossiping about things at school. "So Kagome I heard from a reliable source that you're going to the D/M Club with Houjo this Saturday at 6:00pp.m." whispered Sango to Kagome. 'Oh great Houjo told the whole school that fucking bastard' thought Kagome. "So you going out with him?" wonder Sango. "Of course she is even Houjo said she was." said Shippo. "Ya Shippo's right Sango anyways I got to go bye see you Monday!" shouted Kagome as she left home.

Back at Kagome's House

When Kagome got home her father was drunk. 'Oh, great the piece of shit is drunk again.' thought Kagome as she went up to her room to do her homework. Before things got ugly like last year.

Flashback

"Ow, stop please!" screamed Kagome as she was kicked in the ribs and stomach. "To make it stop you have to promise me that you'll keep our little squabbles to ourselves and never tell anyone you little bitch, PROMISE!" shouted Naraku as he kicked Kagome once more. "Yes, I promise I'll never say anything to anyone about this again." whispered Kagome. "Ok go to your room, you look like crap!" said Naraku. What they didn't know is that someone was watching from the shadows. "Oh, I'm sorry, I promise I'll be back for you." said the stranger while holding the necklace she gave him.
