Chapter 1 -Why is she crying?

It was the second day after Ji summoned the rangers. Everyone had settled very well. But still there was this one person who was finding it hard to adjust. You know when you are surrounded by people who you think know everything and you feel like nothing although you put in great efforts to be as good as others.

It was past 8:00 pm when Ji texted everyone to come down for came out of her room and went to Emily's room and seeing the door locked got no answer. Assuming she might be in the washroom she waited for some time and again knocked but after getting no answer she assumed that Emily was not in the room. She thought that she might have left earlier so she proceeded to the kitchen. There she was met by Kevin who waved a quick hi to her as a response of which she smiled.

"Where's Mike?" she asked.

"As usual busy with the video games "Kevin rolled his eyes and let out a sigh "and you know he is not gonna come until someone has to practically pull him out of his room! "Said Kevin while holding back his giggled at this.

They have got to know him this much in just one day!

They both proceeded to the kitchen and found Ji putting the food in the plates while Jayden was setting the table.

"Hey guys", said Jayden.

"Hi Jayden! "Said Mia.

"Hey Buddy!"exclaimed Kevin.

"Welcome rangers, you are all just on time …here are your plates" said ji while handing them their plates.

"Where's Mike? "asked Jayden.

"In his room…As usual but he will come you know him…"said Mia while taking a bite.

"ummm!This tastes so good Ji. Even I want to try out cooking .Can I cook for you guys tomorrow?" asked Mia

"You cook! "asked Kevin.

"And why are you so excited?" asked Ji with a smirk.

"Um…no major reason!" said Kevin blushing and embarrassed at his sudden excitement.

"yeah!I cook…maybe tomorrow you can check out my skills "said Mia with a wink.

"Hey guys…what's up?"

Four heads turned back to see Mike entering the kitchen.

"You should have come half an hour before!" said Mentor ji as everyone rolled their eyes…

"Yeah I know but I was playyyiiinnnggg…And, you know, I played…".he stopped as he found everyone staring at him.

"Okay! Sorry…back to food" he said as he grabbed his plate.

"By the way where's Emily?" asked mike.

"Oh no I forgot to tell you…she was not in her room when I went in to call her. I thought she was with you guys but I don't know where she is now?" said Mia.

"I think we should go and check" volunteered Kevin worried for her little sister.

"You all sit here and finish your food. I will go and see what's up with her"said Jayden calmly.

Everyone nodded understandingly as they continued to eat and Jayden headed out.

Not long after searching through almost every room in the Shiba house did he realize that he heard some soothing music .He proceeded towards the source of the calm tone. He moved towards the garden and saw a faint figure sitting on the bench. He approached it and gasped to see Emily kissing the holes of a beautiful object…yes that object being her flute and that random kisses developing the beautiful music he has been hearing.

"Em…"he whispered.

At this Emily came out of whatever world she was engulfed in and with her thumb quickly rubbed her cheeks as if removing something from there. She quickly turned and said…

"Oh Jay! I am sorry I lost the track of time…I am really sorry."

To this Jayden laughed to cheer her up and it was then he noticed that what she has been rubbing were none other than tear tracks…but why on earth was she crying?...he couldn't understand..

He decided to let go of it this time and said

"No issues. Come on I can hear the mice in your stomach the food is getting cold." she gave out a small laugh and they both proceeded inside…

"By the way you are an amazing flute player…and a good fighter!" said Jayden.

"Thank you Jay…but" said Emily in a low tone.

"You just don't know anything" she thought.

"But…?" asked Jayden wanting her to complete what she was saying.

"Nothing…"she said as the doors of shiba house were closed by Jayden.

What is it that Jayden is not aware of?
