Chapter 1: Worlds Fall...

It was a day unlike any other for Sora, except for one thing. The raft had finally been completed, the supplies had been gathered, and he along with his best friends were ready to visit the outside worlds. Finally, after all the years of just sitting around on the islands of their small world, just pretending to go on grand quests, the three of them would be having a real adventure, just like they had always dreamed of doing ever since they had come together as friends. Riku, Sora's first and best friend, had just head home to rest for the big journey tomorrow. Kairi, his other best friend and "secret" crush, wanted to stay and watch the sunset. Sora decided to stay with her until she was ready to return home.

Sora and Kairi siting on the edge of the dock and watched the sunset. "You know," Kairi began, "Riku has changed."

"What do you mean?" Sora asked. Kairi seemed at a loss for words, ""Well..."

"You okay?" Sora asked with concern. Kairi beamed, "Sora, let's take the raft and go-just the two of us!"

"What?!" Sora gasped while trying to hide a blush from the thought. Kairi just giggled, "Just kidding."

What's gotten into you?" Sora exclaimed. "You're the ones whose changed, Kairi."

"Maybe..." The girl responded softly. "You know, I was a little afraid at first, but now I'm ready. No matter where I go or what I see, I know I could always come back here."

Finally Kairi took her eyes off the sunset and turned to Sora. "Right?"

"Yeah, of course!" Sora said without hesitation. Where ever they would go, this would still be their home. Kairi turned back to the sunset. "That's good." Kairi paused. "Sora, don't ever change."

"Huh?" Sora looked at her as Kairi stood up. "I just can't wait. Once we set sail." Sora leaned back with his eyes now back on the sunset, just like Kairi's. "It'll be great."

"You... you want me to take you home?" Sora asked shyly. Kairi smiled, "No thanks... I rather not leave my boat here all night but I appreciate that thought."

A few minutes later, Kairi returned to shore of the main island, and Sora was not long after her. He finally arrived home, he called out, "Mom! I'm home!"

His mother greeted Sora with a hug, "Hey, Sora... How was your day?" Sora nodded, "It was great, mom..."

"So... you planning to finally visit the other worlds with your friends?" His mother asked. Sora paused... she knew... over the weeks, they had planned this for weeks and he never told her. They agreed not to tell their parents. They just told them they'd spend the week on the play island. Sora turned to her, "How did you know?"

"I'm your mother, I know everything." She simply stated. Sora sighed, she chuckled, "Don't worry, I'm not going to stop you." Sora looked up as she explained, "Your father wanted to do the same thing at your age but his Uncle held him back until he was eighteen..."

She walked up to him, "You two are so much alike..." Sora frowned, "You keep saying that as well that he loves me but if that was true then why'd he leave us?" She sighed, "Your father has his reasons... and well... I can't tell you just yet."

Sora groaned, "When will you keep treating me like a kid?" She smirked, "If I still did, I'd stop you from going and tell your friend's parents to stop them from going all together." She sighed, "Look... when I was you age, I had made plenty of bad choices and the worlds may not be as safe as they once were... all I can say is your father knew something big would happen soon. He left to try to stop it but I fear it may already be too late. So, all I can say is be careful and stay on the right path..."

"Uh... okay... is that it?" Sora wondered. She just smiled and ruffled his hair, "Just wash up and be ready... dinners ready in five."

He nodded and headed upstairs. After washing his face and brushing his teeth. He decided to get some rest before food was done. Sora laid in his bed waiting for supper and tomorrow were he would explore the worlds with his best friends Riku and Kairi. It would be just him and Kairi... And Riku too.

"I just can't wait. Once we set sail. It'll be great." He'd recalled what Kairi said to him. He did a quick look around and didn't see anyone but the younger Sora. He stopped looking when he heard the younger Sora say, "A storm? Oh no! The raft!" Sora snuck out his window. He ran he could hear his mother calling, "Sora! Dinner's Ready! Come on down! Sora?!"

She looked outside to see Sora running back to the play island. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, "Things are in motion... I hoped this day would never come..." She opened her eyes to give her son what she believed was going to be for the last time, "Stay safe... and may the Force be with you..."

Meanwhile, on another world, teenage mild manage reporter, Clark Kent was returning from his job from the Daily Planet on the city bus. He smiled at his first article, he even think he'd impressed that Lois Lane reporter... for his other job. Thanks to his journey to the 31st century, he had learned about who he was destined to become. The Man of Steel. Superman. He was the sole survivor of the planet Krypton. Saved by his father, Jor-El, in the last few moments of the planet, send him to either so he wouldn't share his peoples fate.

He ship was found by Jonathan and Martha Kent and they loved are raised them as their own. As he got older, powers began to rise, which he learned was due to the continually absorbing yellow solar energy, it gives him possessing the powers of flight, superhuman strength, x-ray vision, heat vision, cold breath, super-speed, enhanced hearing, and nigh-invulnerability. He learned all of this thanks to the Legion of Superheroes. He even managed to keep the uniform from his time on the team. Just then, his phone rang and he picked it up, "Hey, Ma..."

"Hey, Clark... we saw your article on the Newspaper today... and we saw you on the paper." His mother replied. Clark smiled, "So... what do you think?"

"We think it's wonderful at what your doing. The article was great too." His mother replied. Clark smiled, "Glad to hear so... anyways, I'm on my way home from the Metropolis. I should be home soon."

"Good... supper's almost ready. We look forward to seeing you. Love you." His mother told him. He smiled, "Love you too." As he ended the call, he looked out the winter and saw the skies growing dark. He muttered, "Odd. No one mentioned a storm coming this evening..."

Meanwhile, where the skies were usually dark, Bruce Wayne had finished his latest baterang. He was the son of Tomas and Martha Wayne. When he was just a boy, he'd watch his parents get murdered in front of him by a common thug. Gotham City had always been run by criminals but his parents had always tired to make it better and he vowed to do the same... by bring all the criminals out there to justice, however, due to his travels and his training, he need to become more than just a man. He needed to become a symbol that would give the people hope... and something that criminals would fear. His butler, Alfred came down with his dinner as he worked, "You're dinner, sir."

"In a moment, Alfred." Bruce told him as he examined the weapon. Alfred wondered, "Why the design, Master Bruce?" Bruce replied, "A man, however strong, however skilled, is just flesh and blood. I need to be more than a man. I need to be a symbol." Alfred raised an eyebrow, "And why the symbol of the bat?"

"Bats frighten me." Bruce replied with a slight smile, "And it's time my enemies shared my dread." He threw the baterang at a target. It hit the dead center of the target, Alfred then sighed, "Sir, if I may... Young men at your age, would go to a public school and make friends. Perhaps even meet a girl. Not planning to go out in the middle of the night chasing criminals."

"If I don't Alfred, then who will. The cops had failed to stop the choas from people like Falcone or Black Mask." Bruce stated. Alfred turned to him, "Master Bruce... I'm not trying to talk you out of what you plan to do... but I do hope you do make at least some friends. You're parents wouldn't want you to live you're life alone, sir."

"I don't need friends, Alfred... they'd only slow me down." Bruce stated as he started doing a work out. Alred sighed as he left the Batcave. As Bruce stop to turn to his food, something came up on the Bat Computer. He turned to check it out, "Hm... an unknown energy coming from the storm..." He looked into it further on his computer before realizing, "This isn't a storm..."

Bruce wasn't the only one to figure this out. The Amazons of Themyscira prepared for war. Queen Hippolyta ordered, "Quickly my sisters! A great darkness is upon us! We must prepare ourselves for battle!"

The amazon warriors armed themselves with armor, swords, shield, spears, bows and arrows and whatever else they could get their hands on. Just before, the Queen herself could join them. The youngest of the Amazons called out, "Mother!"

Hippolyta turned to see her only daughter, who she made of clay and was brought to life by Zeus, running towards her, "What is going on? Shouldn't the Hera's spell protect us from outsiders?"

"Diana... something has gone terribly wrong. Something coming that even Athena couldn't foresee." Hippolyta explained. One of the Amazons nammed Artimis ran up to her, "My Queen, monsters of darkness have just appeared on the island!"

"Then we don't have time to waste. Diana, go to your room where it's safe. The rest of us shall drive these monsters back to whatever hole they crawled out from!" The Queen ordered. Diana shook her head, "Mother, please, let me help you in this fight!"

"You're highness, Diana is the best warrior on this island, perhaps..." Artimis stated. The Queen shook her head, "She too young!" She turned to her daughter, "Diana, you are my only daughter... if anything happened to you, I would never forgive myself. Go to your room... I come see you when it's safe."

Diana frowned with a nod. He mother and the other Amazon's left on horses, leaving Diana to herself. She looked at on of the temples, she then turned back to where her mother had left, "Mother... forgive me."

She then ran to the temple, it was time for her to fight along side her sisters...

Sora arrived on the island and huge black sphere above the play island. "What's that?" He asked to himself. He then turned to the other boats he recognized. "Riku's boat. And Kairi's!"

He then turned to see black monsters show up. He recognized them from the dream he had a few days back. He tried to fight them with the wooden sword he had but it didn't do any damage to them. Sora then noticed Riku by the tree that they would sit on. He then made his was to him. He ran past all the monsters and crossed the bridge.

"Where's Kairi? I thought she was with you!" He asked worried for Kairi's safety."The door has been opened..." Said Riku. This confused Sora, "What?"

"The has been opened, Sora! Now we can go to the outside world!" Said Riku. Sora was confused at what Riku had said, who was more concerned for her safety, "What are you talking about? We've got to find Kairi!"

"Kairi's coming with us!" Riku assured him before continuing, "Once we step through, we might not be able to come back. We may never see our parents again. There's no turning back. But this may be our only chance. We can't let fear stop us! I'm not afraid of the darkness!"

Riku then offered his hand to him. Just then both Sora noticed the darkness trying to take Riku. Sora tried to get him out of there but he couldn't reach him. Everything went black until a bright light show. His new key shaped blade surprised Sora. Only one word came to mind...

Keyblade... Keyblade...

Clark entered his home, he called out, "Ma! Pa! I'm home!" He got no response though. He looked around and saw the food burning. He quickly turned off the stove, "Okay, Ma would never leave the stove on... let alone let the food burn."

He used his x-ray vision to locate his parents but only to find the farm was completely abandoned. Just then there was a noise going on in the other room. He looked to the room and he saw not his father or mother but a lone black shadow creature with yellow eyes. He walked in the room, "Hey, there little guy, you wouldn't by any chance seen my parents anywhere, have you?"

In response, the creature slashed at him. Clark backed away. His regalur clothes with scratched revealing this S under his clothes. His eyes narrowed, "So... not so friendly are you?"

He removed his glasses and his regular clothes. This looked like a job for Superman! His full blue suit, red and yellow belt, and red cape with a "S" on his chest. As the creature struck again, Superman countered the attack with his own punching out of the house through the roof. Just more monsters from the darkness appeared, Superman looked around him and sighed, "It's never that easy."

Bruce dodged another assault from the mystrous creatures. He didn't know how they got in the cave past the security system, he'd have to figure that out later. He needed to take these things down first, he'd figure out what they are from there. He quickly grabbed some of the new devolped baterangs, and threw it at them. As each made their mark and emitted a small sound. Suddenly, swarm of bats attacked the creatures.

With the creatures distracted, he quickly went to his prototype suit. He quickly put it on, he was waiting until he was fully prepared, however, today he knew... Gotham... maybe even the world even... needed the Batman! As he placed on his belt, his eyes narrowed under his cowl. He turned back to the creatures, he noticed the some bats were being consumed by these creatures as they stole their hearts to make more of them. After call the bats back he did a scan of them, no heartbeats... whatever these creatures were they weren't actually alive. Bruce swore as he grew older, he'd never take the life of another. However, since these creatures were never alive to begin with he would have to make an exception. He threw some baterangs knocking a few of them back. He then continued the assault with several punches and kicks. As the creatures surrounded him, he went into his battle stances and gestured to them to bring it on. The creatures leaped into to attack...

Diana had stuck down another creature with her sword. She was now in wearing a red top with golden armor on her chest, a golden belt, metallic bracelets on her arms, and apparently a blue swimsuit with white stars on it. She held a shield and sword in each hand and a golden lassos was at her side. She turned to the creatures, "Hear me, creatures! I am Princess Diana of Themyscira! You're kind are not welcome on my island! Go back to whatever pits of Tartarus you came from or feel my wrath!"

The creatures would not listen to the princess though as they charged and her. She blocked the attack with her shield as she cut through them with her sword. As the fight went on she failed to notice to cracks on the ground beginning to form...

Sora used his newly found Keyblade to strike down all the creatures that stood in his way. He then realized that this weapon actually hurt the creatures. He fought and destroyed as many of them as he could. However, the more he destroyed three more seemed to take their place.

He noticed a door that blocks the place that was the secret place. Sora had a strong felling that Kairi was in there so he fought his way there as he opened the door and went inside. Sora call out, "Kairi!"

Kairi turned to Sora and looked to him with a sleepy look, "Sora."

She reached out for Sora as the door without a door handle opened wide open and a powerful wind came out and pushed Kairi towards Sora. Sora tired to catch her but she disappeared on contact much to his shock. Then a strong wind pushed Sora away back outside...

Superman had fought the creatures without breaking a sweet but his super hearing heard screams of billions around him and the world beginning to fall apart. His eyes widened, the Earth was dying... these creatures were destroying it. He then turned to notice a much larger creature. He flew up to it, "I take it your responsible for all of this?"

As the creature swung it's fist, Superman blocked it, "I take it when I beat you... I save the Earth." Superman then blasted it with his heat vision pushing it back. He then followed it up with several punches. However he failed to notice it second attack which it hit back sending him crashing into the farm. Superman stood up from the attack and just glared at the monster. He then flew at the monster...

Batman did a backflip as he avoided falling debris in the cave. Batman threw more baterangs at the monsters. His eyes narrowed, things were only getting worse. The whole world was falling apart and those monsters were connected some how. He needed to figure out what was really going on when it just occurred to him, Alfred! He completely forgot about him! Alfred's been like a father to him ever since his parents died if anything happened to him...

With no time to waste he pulled out his grabbling hook and fired it. He swung over the creatures to the stairs to the mansion. Once he reached to the top, he open the entrance to the bat cave to the mansion was falling apart. He called out, "ALFRED! ALFRED, WHERE ARE YOU?!" Just then, a giant fist came flying at Bruce. He quickly dodged the attack to see a much larger monster. Batman's eyes narrowed, "Get outta my home... while you still can..."

When it was about to attack once more he threw smoke bombs and when the monsters attack hit he was gone. It turn to see Batman on it's shoulder. Batman gloved charged with electricity, he then threw a punch...

Diana watched in horror as her island fell apart. She fell to her knees and tears fell. She cried, "Mother... my sisters... my home..." As she cried another much larger monster. She turned to see a huge creature of darkness rise stood before as the whole world fell apart. Her eyes narrowed, "If I can't save my home... then by Hera, I shall avenge it!"

She picked up her sword and leaped at the monster with a roar and swung her sword as the world began to crumble away...

When Sora came to he stood on what remained of Destiny Island. His eyes widened in horror. "Whoa!" Sora gasped in shock. He turned to see a giant monster stood before him. Sora charged at it with his new Keyblade. The monster slammed his arm into the ground and summoned smaller monsters. Sora quickly defeated them and climbed up the creatures are and hit it's head several times. He then jumped off after knowing he did enough damaged. With that the monster was sucked up into the dark sphere. Sora realized that it was going to suck him up too. He tried to hold onto the remaining ground as long as he could but he slipped and with into the sphere. He screamed as he closed his eyes as an old voice spoke in his head, "Sora... these are your first steps..."

Superman clapped his hands together and punched the monster off the planet but the destruction wouldn't stop. His eyes widened, "It... it didn't work..."

He then turned to see a dark orb. At desperate think, he flew towards it, hoping he could still save the planet if he could get the dark orb away from the Earth. However, when he tired to hold on to it... it started to pull him in. He tired to pull away but as it dragged him in, he watched helplessly as the Earth was destroyed, "No! NOOOOOOOO!"

As Superman disappeared, he learned he was a survivor of another dead world...

Batman ran up the arm of the creature and delivered several more punches at the monster. He flipped over it head and landed back on the ground. The monster turned turned to face the Dark Knight once more only to hear a small beeping sound, at the back of it's head revealed that Bruce had placed several explosive baterrangs on it. As it exploded, the creature faded back into the darkness. Suddenly, the wind picked up as it dragged him to the dark orb. He quickly fired his gabbling hook in the ground, he tired to pull himself back on the ground, desperate to save Alfred. He called out, "Alfred! ALFRED!"

The grabbing hook finally broke loose and he fell into the orb as he cried out, "ALFRED!"

Back at what remained of Themyscira, Diana continued to fight the creature that was destroying her home. The monster managed to push her back. She put her sword and shield away as the pulled out the lasso of truth. She wrapped it around the creatures and called out, "Hera! Give me strength!"

She then managed to pull the creature off the island and into the dark orb. Suddenly, the wind picked up as it dragged her to the dark orb. She managed to grab hold of a broken ship but when it broke apart, she too fell into the dark orb. As the Earth died, a mysterious brown cloaked figure stood in the chaos. As he watched the events take place, he stated, "This world has been connected...'
