Naruto Uzumaki had seen the fox multiple times before now, but had never been outside to follow it. The boy grinned as he ran to catch it.

Gaara walked into the oasis, so much water here. Mother had led him to a safe place, far, far, far away from the hatred of Suna. He smiled, Gaara didn't think they would find him here, in the desert.

Yugito danced around the clearing. A doll, with cat ears and tails added, provided a partner. She saw a woman, identical to the one in her dreams, at the edge of the clearing. She even had the light, fiery blue cat ears and tails. Yugito ran to her dream-friend. She always did want to go with her.

The Bijuu had always watched over the humans, Kami made them for that. Kami did not believe that humans couldn't take care of themselves, not completely anyways. From the Juubi to the Ichibi, each were given a territory, Ichibi, the sands of the desert, Nibi, the barren mountains, the Sanbi, the oceans and seas, Yonbi, the explosive volcanoes, Gobi, the streams and rivers, Rokubi, the swamps and watery caves, Nanabi, the plains and prairies, Hachibi, the caves and cavers and bowels of the earth, the Kyuubi, the forests and oasis, the strongest and most powerful of the ten, Juubi, it was given the task of caring for the life, plants, animals, and even the humans themselves.
Ichibi, Nibi, Sanbi, Yonbi, Gobi, Rokubi, Nanabi, Hachibi, Kyuubi, Juubi, ten demons, ten protectors. Protectors and beings providing balance. Destroying places that need it, providing protection to those who need it.
Ummm… Yeah.
