Fleur stared at where Bill was laying as she crossed the room over to Bill's bed.

She heard Mrs. Weasley saying that Bill was going to be married that she wouldn't care for him anymore. How dare she! "And what do you mean by zat? What do you mean 'he was going to be married'?"

"Well -only that-"

"You theenk Bill will not wish to marry me anymore. You theenk, because of these bites, he will not love me."

"No, that's not what I-"

"Because 'e will! It would take more zan a werewolf to stop Bill loving me!"

"Well, yes, I'm sure, but I thought perhaps – given how – how he – "

"You thought I would not weesh to marry him. Or per'aps, you hoped… What do I care how he looks? I am good-looking enough for both of us, I theenk! All these scars show is zat my husband is brave! And I shall do zat!"

Mrs. Weasley was stunned for a few seconds but recovered saying, "Our Great-Auntie Muriel has a very beautiful tiara – goblin made – which I am sure I could persuade her to lend you for the wedding. She is very fond of Bill, you know, and it would look lovely with your hair."

"Thank you. I am sure zat will be lovely."

The others began to pay attention to what Tonks and Lupin were arguing over and how Dumbledore was killed. Fleur began to remember how she and Bill first met. How young they both were, Fleur closed her eyes and the flashback started:

She remembered the excitement from the Last Task of the tournament. She remembered being so excited to see her mother and sister. She remembered how handsome he had looked with his long hair and fang earring.

As Bill walked behind Harry and his mother, he said, "Hello."

She remembered how her father ordered him, "Stay away from Fleur."

She was heartbroken that she didn't even get the chance to talk to him.

But then months later after she started working at Gringotts and she saw him again.

Bill who was tutoring her in English began to see her more and more often. She remembered asking him to run away with her to forget what her father had said.

She remembered sneaking out of her flat keeping quiet so her neighbors wouldn't hear her. The two of them had apparated to a small town in Italy.

One time Bill came over when her father was there and again he ordered him to "Stay away from Fleur." But Bill was everything to Fleur. She begged him, "Please don't go. Bill, take me somewhere we can be alone. I'll be waiting; all that's left to do is run. It's a love story, baby, just say, 'Yes'".

She remembered seeing Bill at work telling him how her parents were trying to get her to marry someone else. She remembered him saying, "This love is difficult but it's real. Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess."

Bill missed work for the next few days. Fleur's faith in him was fading. She was getting tired of waiting, wondering if he would ever come around.

When she met him on the outskirts of Diagon Alley she said, "Bill, I keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my head? I don't know what to think."

Bill then knelt to the ground, pulled out a ring and said, "Marry me, Fleur. I love you, and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad – go pick out a white dress."

"Yes," Fleur replied kissing him.

The flashback ended just as Bill opened his eyes. Fleur threw her arms around him, and kissed him, saying, "Don't ever scare me like that again. Promise me we'll both surive this war."

"I promise, Fleur. I promise we'll both survive and that I'll love you forever," Bill said.
