"I've always cared about you. You know?" Francis causally asks Arthur.
Arthur hums in response and keeps working on his daily crossword puzzle.

"I mean since before I met you."
This makes the other look up from his work and raise a bushy eyebrow in response.

"Is that so?" He asks as if challenging the other to prove just how what he said was true.

Francis smiles. "Oui. The way I see it, we were always meant to talk to each other even if we can't meet for years at a time."
Arthur cocks his head to the side and used the look in his eyes to urge the other to go on.
He wouldn't ask him with words.
Francis understands this.

"When you were born, and I already alive, destiny, fate, whatever you believe in, decided that we were meant to meet, meant to be friends, meant to be there for each other. Actually, they always knew even before I was born. Think about it. What were the odds that we, from two different countries would meet? Would become close even with the distance?"
Francis feels a small blush on his cheeks form from being so honest and telling Arthur how felt about their friendship. He truly treasured it and liked to believe the other one knew it.
Arthur, who was not always affectionate with Francis, chuckles, "I think so too."
He didn't say it much, but he really cared about Francis. Always wanted him to be happy just like he knew the other wanted for him.

With that, Arthur returns to his puzzle and, feeling much happier, hums as he does so.
Francis leans his head on the other's shoulder and closes his eyes.

Francis and Arthur both felt lucky to have one another.

They both thanked whatever power threw them in each others' path

It sounded so much better last night!

This was written for a friend of mine that I met on Tumblr.
It was inspired when I was sending her messages and thought of how we're in different countries, six hours apart and yet we've been friends for (if not already) almost a year. So our friendship inspired it.

I think we're both into FrUK because of each other!

Anyway, sorry for the shortness, I've had many ideas lately just not sure how to write them out.

Writer's block and whatnot.

Thank you for reading!
