Just in case it wasn't clear enough, this is a preview of a larger Guardians series that me and my friend made. I'm putting this out there to test how people react, and if anyone enjoys it. Review honestly, we can take your criticism.
They dropped out of the portal and were greeted by a dark, cold room. Lena gasped and laid down while Nick rushed to find a light switch. He ran the length of it to find that it wasn't a room at all, but a cave with a triangular gateway behind them. There was still no switch, so he blinked back to her to check on her condition. The accelerator was now cutting into her obvious baby bump, and she was in pain. He unclipped the device and put the armband on her, how it stayed through it all he'll never know. He was still working when a door at the other side of the room burst open and an old man with excitement in his eyes rushed in.
"Ford, the gateway worked, get your and Dipper's butts down here!" He shouted behind him. There was thundering footsteps down the stairs, then another old man and a late teen came sprinting in and began asking the two questions.
"Where did you come from?" Asked the man.
"More like when?" Said the teen.
"What happened up to this point in time?"
"What is that glowing thing?"
"Have you ever met a talking triangle with a top hat and bow tie?"
"Alright enough!" Yelled Lena.
"Sorry guys, she is like," he had to think about it, "almost nine months pregnant, mood swings."
"Wait really? We have to keep them here, study them." Said the other old man.
"Okay, stop, no one is locking us up, and if you do I'll shoot you." Said Lena. Then she realized what she said, and started apologizing.
"Don't bother, my brother doesn't really believe in being humane." Said the other old man.
"You know what, why don't we just restart, I'm Dipper, that's my Great Uncle Ford, and the one that found you is my Great Uncle Stan." He said, holding his arms out as if presenting them.
"I'm Nick, this is Lena, and we aren't going to be your prisoners. It doesn't matter what you're doing, but you can't and won't keep us here." He said, then he took her by the hand and they both walked towards the door. They heard the sound of something powering up, then they blinked out of the way as a taser charge hit the wall. They turned to see Ford with the weapon, looking amazed at their powers. Lena then dropped to the floor, clutching her stomach.
"The baby's coming!" She shouted, and the entire cave fell silent.
