Aria: Hello there, firstly let me just clarify that this story is completely separate from my other story called Life Makes Love Look Hard. I wanted to try something different and here we are. Please feel free to leave a comment or just read. Also, yes I am, in fact, Australian.

I don't own Harry Potter! but I do own my OC's.

Enjoy!

Chapter 1 - The Window

The best way to deal with a problem of earth-shattering quality...Denial. Denial. Denial. Don't look and it will not exist. At least until you can't. And not just shatter your life but your parents plan, your career, your youthful time and your freakin' anxiety levels. Joyful. A little bundle of joy to be exact.

"Rosie! I finally found you!" I heard from my approximate left. "Oooh, you don't look great mate."

Good to know I look how I feel. Then again, it could be that I was leaning my forehead against a glass window in a fairly quiet corridor; or the braids. Must be the braids.

"Yeah, I know," I sighed. Looking to the left I saw my best friend Eve, short for Evangeline, leaning against the stone wall. I have too wondered if her parents were pretentious or just plain half-arsed. The cold glass felt solid and reassuring as she rested her check on it.

"Eat something weird? No wait, it was a ghost that pulls faces wasn't it?"

I perked up for a second, "Maybe the ghost-like vibe can help me be invisible!"

"Mate, I'm coming too if you find out how too." She's also Australian and a Muggle-born witch but I love her all the same. After all, we have survived seven years at Hogwarts together. For that, we deserve a badge, not that we would go on the stage to get one though. Too much effort and attention.

Eve interlocked our arms and stated, "Now I have trapped you, come with me to get some food."

The idea of food was a little tempting at the same time it gave me a sick feeling.

"Sure, to the lion's den," I replied with the most enthusiasm I could muster.
