A gust of wind from my wings caused loose rocks to fall from the ceiling. I always flew around inside the mountain when something was on my mind, so there I was again. I never understood why others hated me so. It pained me deeply that they killed my family, leaving me to die. Father said he found me hidden in some box, so they didn't know I was there. Everyday my need for revenge on them grows. Father, Bolg and the Master met with one another one day sometime ago. A plan was made to kill the line of Durin. Father has a grudge over them and he never told me why, but I didn't mind as long as I got revenge somehow. He told me who still lived in the line. Those left were Thorin Oakenshield and his nephews, Fili and Kili. I knew for sure though that father would kill anyone who got in the way of him and Oakenshield. I asked if I could take the nephews and to my delight, he said yes. I could not wait any longer for all of it to be set in motion. I flew down and landed on the stone floor. Then I headed in the direction of my father dwells.

When I came to the door, I knocked. "Who is it?" He asked through the door. "Shadow. May I enter?" I replied. "Yes." Came his answer. "Father? Why do the other races hate me so much? Why did they try to kill me after killing my family?" I asked father as I entered. "You are a skin changer my child. They already hate you for that, but also because you, just like your family was, are a dragon. You were lucky we were passing by that day. You would have died if we had not." I nodded, finally understanding the reason for the other races' hate towards me. Before, I just couldn't grasp why everyone but orcs hated me. Either that or I just didn't want to believe it was true. "When will I get my revenge?" I asked with a darkened voice. "Soon enough, my Shadow." was father's reply.

Three days later, father knocked on my door. "May I come in Shadow?" He asked. "You can come in, father." I replied. The door knob turned and he entered. He smiled his evil smile, and I knew what he was going to say. "It is time." He said. I too grew an evil grin on my face. "Meet me at the gates soon and we'll be off." He told me. I nodded, barely containing my excitement. Then he left. I immediately grabbed my weapons which consisted of two swords and a dagger. Then I was ready. I was already wearing appropriate clothes so I didn't have to change. I headed to the entrance of Moria where father was waiting atop his white warg. I climbed on behind him. I didn't have a warg of my own because I usually just flew everywhere, but when I needed one, I rode with father. He said something in the Black Speech which after years, I still haven't learned. I tried to as a teenager, but I just couldn't get the harsh language. Then with a sudden jerk, we're off.

I started to wonder if we would find Thorin and his company or if other orcs would. Father had sent out the some of the warg riders one day to notify other orcs that if they should stumble across the dwarves, to capture them and send word back of their location. I was hoping we could capture them ourselves, but all we can do right now though is ride.
