"Travis, you have a new partner," Charles Hatton said as he walked down the stairs of Time Safari.

The scientist swiveled around to face him, "Oh? And who might that be?"

"Doctor Angelette Carlisle," The wealthy older man explained.

Travis Ryer almost froze in shock at the name. How could she be here now? After everything they went through a couple years before? Not that he was complaining, but still.

"Come on out here, Doctor Carlisle," Hatton said, turning to look up the stairs.

A young looking woman stepped down, her long blonde hair flowing behind her. Her pale skin held a bit of a tan and her blue green eyes were bright.

"Hello, Travis," Angelette said as she stopped beside Hatton. "It's been a while."

"Yes it has, Angel," Travis replied, his green eyes holding the same light as Angelette's.

"We can handle it from here, Mr. Hatton," Angelette said to their boss without looking to him.

"Well, I will be leaving you," Hatton said to them. "But we may have another time jump later, Travis."

"Alright, Mr. Hatton," Travis replied, sighing before the older man left the lab.

Travis looked to his co-worker, "How's Tracy been? Last time I saw her, she was three."

"She's been asking when her Daddy will be back," Angelette Carlisle replied as she walked over to TAMI. "Still doing the molecular blood structure readings I see."

"Yeah," he replied. "Are you going to be joining us on the time jumps?"

"Depends on whether or not Mr. 'I-don't-want-to-see-my-dear-girlfriend-get-hurt' agrees to it," She replied, laughing. "Which reminds me, Tracy is at your apartment with my sister for now."

"How did you know where I'm staying?" Travis asked, confused.

"In case you forgot, my sister is your neighbor, Travis," the blonde replied, laughing.

"Oh right," he replied, laughing as well.

"You still haven't set your apartment up like you've lived there for two years, huh?" She asked as she started typing stuff into the system.

"Hello, Doctor Carlisle," TAMI said in her computerized voice.

"Hello, TAMI," Angelette said, looking up at the screen.

Her hair moved a little, showing an almost unnoticeable metal device in her hairline.

"Angel, what's that?" Travis asked, confused as he reached out to move her hair.

Angelette quickly covered it back up with her hair, "It's nothing, Travis."

"Angel, please tell me," he said, worry in his eyes.

"It's from the experiment they did on me last year, a couple months after Hatton hired you," She told him. "That's all I can tell you for now."

'What the hell happened to you, Angel?' Travis asked himself as he sat down in his chair. "You know, you can join us if you don't do anything stupid."

"I know that, Travis," She replied, laughing as she pulled up a chair and sat down beside her boyfriend. "Amora would have my hide if I did."

"You know I would too, Angel," Travis said as Mr. Hatton came down the stairs with two men behind him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is Mr. Eckles and Mr. Middleton," he said, motioning to them. "Gentlemen, this is your jump team. Jenifer Krase will record your jump; Marcus Payne is your technical adviser, Dr. Lucas."

He walked up to Travis and Angelette, "And this is Doctor Travis Ryer, he will lead your jump."

"And this is Doctor Angelette Carlisle, she will be taking Derris's spot this time," Travis said, looking to the men. "It's good to see a couple clients who actually look like they know what they're doing."

"Well, let's get suited up," Angelette said, a smile on her face as she and Travis went to get ready.
