Hello everyone, I thought I make this short story about a (half) Zora Mother spending a fishing day with her (half) Zora Daughter. This came to me while I was playing Majora's Mask 3DS. Please note that these two are my characters.
And also, Read, Enjoy, and Review. :)
"Oh come on, I'm sure you'll be able to catch one if you really tried."
The mother, Kalulu, said, trying to encourage her daughter as they were in the Swamp Fishing Hole.
"But Mom, they swim away from me."
The younger voice said, the daughter, Kira, whined as she was slowly started to believe that she couldn't do something as catching a fish.
"That's enough of that kind of talk, Sweetie," the mother Zora said as she put a hand on her daughter's shoulder for encouragement. "Let's try the sinking lore." she added then guiding her daughter to the guy that was running the Fishing Hole and trading in her daughter's fishing rod for a sinking lore. "Here we go, maybe we'll have some luck with this." Kalulu said, handing Kira the new fishing rod. With a heavy sigh, the young girl took it and went to look at what fishes she could attempt to catch a fish.
Though one did catch her eye, it was a piece of paper that was talking about the Termina Loach that said to come out when it was on a rainy day... and to which, would happen any minute!
With her newfound confidence, the young Zora girl went back to the pier and casted the lore into the water with all she could, now determined to catch a Termina Loach.
Kira waited... and waited... and waited... and had a small picnic with her mom... and waited.
Until she finally got a bite!
Feeling the line becoming tight, Kira started to reel in the fish as fast as she could, her excitement was noticeable as squealing in excitement at each passing moment while the fish was getting closer and closer. Kalulu watched her daughter reeling in her first fish with ba-
Snap!
Just then, the line went dead. The girl reeled in the rest of the line to find that the Termina Loach broke the string. Confusion took over the young Zora as she look at the missing bait that wasn't on her line.
Seeing her daughter's happiness disappear so quickly, so suddenly, made her to frown a bit then putting a hand on her daughter's shoulder once again.
The daughter look up at her mother but then look back down before going to the door to leave the Fishing Hole... until she heard a splash. Turning around at the sound and to see her Mother in the water, looking down into the water to find the fish that got away until she got sight of it and went under the water instantly. The next thing Kira knew was the fish trying to swim away as it skip along the surface with her Zora Mother chasing it close by.
A few moments went by until Kalulu came walking out of the water, with the Termina Loach by the string that was still tied to the bait in the fish, "You caught this fish," she said promptly, holding the fish out to her daughter, smiling at her. The Zora daughter couldn't help but smile and hugged her mother at what she did to get the fish.
"Thank you, Mom!"
