It was an accident when they meant. The two running into each other on the way to the subway. There were short, quite, and quick apologizes involved. Saying "sorry" and, "didn't see you there". He helped pick up her loose papers by bending down on his knees with his brief case aside him. When she noticed the young man was helping, she couldn't help but gaze into his topaz eyes as he did the same to her blue. She did indeed, blush a bit, but they were sure they wouldn't cross each other again.

The second time they saw each other, was in an elevator in a business building. This time, their faces were much more clear. She had mocha skin, and wore a white collar shirt with a black buttoned up vest on top, following with a black pencil skirt and white stockings. Her outfit was finished up with shiny black flats. The girl noticed that he was indeed sharply dressed. The man was in a full tuxedo, he seemed to be high ranked at the business, if that was his dress code. When they noticed their familiar faces, they just gave each other a small smile and wave. They shrugged it off, coincidences happen.

The third time they saw each other was in a coffee shop, both of them going there after their work day was over. The lady noticed first, the familar man. She did nothing to make him notice though, and just drank her cup of coffee silently in her booth. When he noticed, he decided to make something of it. He drank down his coffee, and threw it away in the nearby bin. He didn't even bother to say hello, but just went straight up to her table and pull out his hand, motioning for her to shake it.

She looked up in laughter, and shook it. He decided to sit next to her, which gave her butterflies in her stomach. She felt something...something special.

"Hello, uhm, ma'am." He started awkwardly, giving a smile afterwards.

"Hi, may I ask you're name? I mean, I've seen you twice today!" She joked, letting her eyes meet his.

"Mine? Oh, I'm...Mako." He stated. "A-and yours?"

She smiled at his shyness.

"Korra."

"Do you want to grab some dinner together later, maybe?" Mako asked, unsure of her answer.

"Oh yeah sure. You can pick the place, I don't really mind." Korra replied, pulling out a napkin and a pen from her small purse.

"Here's my number, so you can call me when you're ready...or I can call you. Wait, that wouldn't work since I don't have your number, so actually, you should call me when you're ready! Right!" She said quickly and nervously. She continued to drabble her number down.

Mako smiled at her, she seemed so...different. She seemed, exciting, and bold, and fun, and-

"Here's my number. I'll see you around." Korra said, interrupting his thoughts. He watched as she waved as she left the small shop.

Maybe crashing into each other at the subway wasn't a mistake. Maybe it was...fate.
