Say It Right

Dean clenched his jaw in anger. The damn fairy he had trapped in his motel room kept attacking, and he couldn't figure out why. He prayed Sam would return soon from his coffee run to help.

"You ain't gonna get me –," Dean ducked to avoid the fairy as it came firing at his head. Sam opened the door, and Dean grabbed his brother by the shirt and yanked him in the room, swiftly shutting the door behind him.

"Gotta fairy in here, Sammy – ouch!" Dean's face contorted with pain as the fairy stung him in the arm and quickly flew out of reach.

"What did you say to it?" queried Sam, calmly opening a coffee and taking a sip.

"Nothin', y' know just – arggghh!" argued Dean.

Sam blew on his coffee, brow furrowed, thinking. Dean stood defensively with his arms over his head, pleading eyes on his brother.

Sam face broke out into a grin. "It only seems to be attacking you when you are speaking," he said.

"So?"

"It's a grammar fairy, Dean. You better remain quiet until we figure out how to kill it." Sam smugly looked at his now speechless brother and slowly sipped his coffee.
