Percy leaned down, kissing the baby bump gently, a smile spreading across his face.
Annabeth laughed, running her fingers through his hair. "C'mon, Perce, you've been giving the baby all of the attention. I think I'm more than overdue for a kiss."
Her husband's grin widened. "Of course, how could I neglect Milady?" he teased, scooting back up their bed so that he was face to face with his best friend in the world. Every day with her felt like a dream that he never wanted to wake up from.
Once he was level with her again, Annabeth reached out and pulled her seaweed brain in for breathtaking kiss. "I love you, forever and always, Percy."
"I love you forever and back," he replied, winding his arms around her waist as they curled up together. They fell asleep in each other's arms not long after the echoes of her soft laughter faded from his ears. Forever and back. Always.
