Author's note: I admit it. I adore Bend it like Beckham. The movie is, in a word, perfect. However, I've always wondered just what happened to Jess and Jules after they departed for Santa Clara University. Did they continue on with the football playing? Or did they eventually develop interests elsewhere? Also, did Jess and Joe eventually end up together?
Unable to satisfy my questions w/ the fanfiction that's available out there, I decided to write my own version of just how the two girls get on in their new home. Be prepared for new romantic interests, a slight side trip to Los Angeles, and some other details.
And for those of you who are worried that I'm never going to complete this? Don't. The whole entire story is done - I'll just tweak as audience reaction permits.

Prologue:
It's often been said, that time flies when one is having fun.
For Jess Bhamra and Juliet Paxton, this particular sentiment is definitely true. Time has all but flown by since their arrival at Santa Clara University. Enthralled with what many would call an opportunity of a lifetime, Jess and Jules have delved headfirst into making friends, learning American customs, and keeping up on their brilliant football techniques. The two best friends have become the toast of the university and are enjoying life more then ever.
However, it is always a given in life, that when things seem to perfect, something is bound to go wrong. As Jess and Jules settle in to their second month at university, new obstacles and challenges will come their way. While most will be easily conquered, some will be hard and will require incredible inner strength to overcome.
In the coming months, both girls will slowly begin the process of growing up and reaching adulthood.
