Hello. This is my first Fanfiction of Stephenie Meyer's THE HOST and I really hope you all enjoy it. I have a lot of great ideas I just can't wait to put into the story I actually have 2 pages full of them :D
The first few chapters are going to kind of be fillers I think but please do your best to get through them because the juicy stuff will come very soon.
But I babble better to be brief. Let's get on with the show!
DISCLAIMER: It would be anserine of me to even think I am Stephenie Meyer (even if I did all of you would see through my façade in a second) so all of these characters belong to her unless I add new ones. And I will :D)
WPOV
What are the chances there are other humans out there. More incredulous than that, another soul living among them. Like me. What a strange world, huh?
After we met with Nate, the other humans and Burns (Burns living flowers), the soul that has been living with them, we went back to our home and decided to meet up with them in the near future.
Before that though, we decided to get a few things we needed from the raid. We, well I, picked up some new lavender soap, shampoo and conditioner along with other foods for everyone to enjoy.
The ride back to the "house" was the same as usual I suppose. Jared was driving along with Melanie in the front seat with me and Ian in the back.
Ian had his arm wrapped around my new tiny waist and Jared's arm was reached over on Melanie's chair shoulders. Strangely enough, even though I was no longer in Melanie's body and had my own, I was….jealous of this. What a peculiar feeling. It disgusted me.
I looked away and stared at my small hands that were neatly placed on my lap. Then, suddenly a warm hand reached over to the chin of my new angelic face and lifted my head to meet Ian's. I started into his blue eyes for the longest time. Like time had frozen just for this moment. I could have sworn from the corner of my eye I saw Jared staring into the rearview mirror looking at us with what seemed to be a face that I had on earlier. No way. Impossible. Must just have been my imagination.
We finally got home and before I could even unbuckle my seatbelt there was Ian doing it for me, hoping out of the jeep, and taking me from the car and putting me on the floor.
"You do know I can do things for myself, I'm not that useless in this bod-"
And as if the universe wants to prove me wrong my next step was tripping over a rock. Fortunately, someone was there to catch me. But it wasn't the same body I was used to. It was more, hard yet comfortable.
"You okay?" Jared Spoke and I realized I was in his arms and just staring at him.
"Um…yeah, sorry" I became stable again but then realized Jared's hand was still wrapped around my arm. I felt the blood start running to my cheeks and quickly looked down at my feet.
Stop blushing. Stop Blushing. Stop blushing!
"Howe, how about you let go. I can take it from here, besides you're probably hurting her from that death grip you have on her." I heard a hint of anger in Ian's voice and he tugged me away from Jared's grip.
I looked up at Jared when I was in Ian's arms and his cheeks were red. Must just be from the heat.
I looked over at Melanie and was surprised at what I found. She was moving her squinted eyes back and forth from me and Jared. We were all just standing there and may I say it was very, awkward.
The silence was unbearable. I couldn't take it anymore. I was about to say something when Melanie spoke up.
"Can we head it already, people are probably waiting"
"Yea, of course" and with that Jared put his arm around Melanie and we all headed back home.
