"Wolfe" Ryan stated as he opened his cell phone and pressed it to his ear. "Ryan, it's me" Ryan raised an eyebrow "Eric, what do you want?" The other end of the phone was silent. "Delko, what's the matter?" Ryan asked, agitated. He heard Delko sniffle and cough. "Ryan, it's… Calleigh" "She's been hospitalized"
3 HOURS EARLIER…..
Calleigh Duquesne drew her nine millimeter pistol and approached the old warehouse with caution. Horatio, Frank and many officers were behind her. They were tracking down a man named Eddy O'Connor who was smuggling illegal weapons to America. He was also a murder suspect for the homicide of his partner Pablo Lopez and the kidnapping of Pablo's daughter Selena.
Blue-green eyes wandered over to Horatio. He nodded. Calleigh kicked the door open. There was Eddy and Selena. Selena whimpered while Eddy's eyes looked crazy. He pointed a gun at Selena "get down!" he yelled. Calleigh nodded and slowly dropped her weapon. About twenty men then jumped out and began firing. Horatio and Frank responded immediately. Calleigh grabbed her gun and fired twice. She saw Eddy hustling Selena away to the back door. "FREEZE!" she screamed and ran after them. Bullets whizzed past her. Screams filled the air. The two lights flickered on and off. It was a madhouse. Calleigh felt something explode in her stomach. She looked down in horror to see a bullet shoot into her stomach. Blood began to pour out. Calleigh fell to the ground and panted heavily. She fired again and again and the retreating figure of Eddy but he ducked.
Suddenly a furious Eddy spun around and shot. Another bullet whizzed to Calleigh and hit her shoulder. She screamed. Frank ran to her and began making calls. Minutes later loud wailing sirens could be heard.
PRESENT…
Ryan ran threw the two glass doors of the Miami Hospital and saw Horatio with his glasses off. Ryan breathed heavily. "Horatio, c-can I see h-her?" he panted. Horatio nodded. Ryan slowly opened the door and saw Calleigh. Beeping machines were hooked up to her. Her eyes were closed. A nurse walked past him. Ryan walked over and sat down near Calleigh. She couldn't die. She can't die. If she did, Ryan would have to live without her. That he could not do.
Ryan kissed her forehead "don't leave me" he whispered. Calleigh slowly opened her eyes and smiled "I will never" she replied. Ryan cleared his throat and leaned down to kiss her. After they broke apart, Calleigh smiled and repeated her phrase.
"I will never leave you"
Ryan smirked "good".
