Vayne leaned against the wall as he stared out the window of the workshop. He was up on the loft petting Sulpher as the two sat in silence. For some reason Vayne had found himself up here every sunset since it had become too cold for him to sit on the roof. The view from the loft was the second best to watch in his opinion.

As the sun began to fall past the trees Vayne's mind began to wander. Earlier that day he had found himself in another fight with Roxis. At this point he could barely remember what started it,only that in the end Roxis has called him a child and left the workshop.

'Just when I thought we were starting to get along.' He thought bitterly.

For a while the two of them had been on good terms, in fact Roxis had even let Vayne help him with some alchemy. Then, about a week ago, Roxis had started to become a bit more distant. Vayne recalled Flay saying something about a "man period" but Vayne had not understood what the meant.

"I guess our relationship is just messed up." Vayne half muttered to Sulpher.

The cat gave a soft meow before falling back asleep. Vayne smiled at his friend as his eyelids started to grow heavy.

"Hey! Get up!"

"Eh?" Vayne jerked forward as he tried to take in his surroundings. By the lighting the sun had long since set and he had managed to fall asleep on the loft. Looking around for the source of his wake up call he found Roxis standing next to him with a frown on his face.

"Ah, you're awake." He nodded, "Good, you can't just sleep up here."

"Why not?" Vayne asked as he started to wake up.

"Isn't that obvious?" He replied turning to leave.

Vayne watched Roxis walk towards the ladder and was a bit surprised when the tall blonde turned back around.

"Come on, you'll catch a cold staying up here."

Vayne couldn't help but let out a small laugh. Maybe their relationship wasn't so bad after all.
