Ash Ketchum woke up in the Pokemon center at about 3 AM, to the sound of a ringing phone and Serena's voice waking him.
"Ash? Ash?" She said softly "Someone's calling you."
"Uh, uh, um, okay." He said only half awake.
He grabbed the phone behind Nurse Joy's desk and was greeted by his mother.
"Ash honey, you need to come back to Pallet town." Delia told him in a soothing yet worried voice.
"What? Why? I'm on my Pokemon journey, I can't just leave!" Ash protested.
"Ash, your father, he , he's- he's back." His mother stuttered.
Tears welled up in Ash's eyes, he didn't want to leave more of his friends behind, like his father left him, but he knew he had to.
"I'm coming." he whispered and hung up.
Pikachu must have known something was wrong because he jumped into Ash's arms. Ash hugged him back. Clement and Bonnie were up now and they just stared at him. Serena quickly realized Ash was looking at her so she quickly ran out of the Pokemon center.
Sorry this was so short I just really want to make the next chapter in Serena's POV. If you reading this when I first post this the next chapter will be up in an hour or less because I post them as I write them.
