A/N: So this is a short little drabble-ish thing for my dear friend Cheryl, A.K.A. Lord of the Plushies. :] Thank you so much for your support dear and I hope you enjoy this. As always, I own nothing. Has someone ever actually been copy-righted on one of these? Oh, and yes, I use country names and not their "people names" (people names? I need sleep…) Anyway, enjoy.
Latvia put down his book, looked to his alarm clock and sighed. He's late, he thought. The past couple of nights Sealand had snuck in (behind Russia's back for the security of both Latvia and Sealand alike,) and they had spent some quality time with each other. The thought of the younger boy made Latvia blush a little. He could only guess that this is what a crush felt like, for in his short fifteen years, he had never felt any particular affection for anyone but his Baltic "brothers," and even then, it was nothing like the fluttery feeling in his stomach that he felt every time the other boy was in his presence. He enjoyed Sealand's enthusiastic approach to life and his drive to be recognized. The two could talk for hours about any sort of thing; he had found that they had very similar interests.
Even though he expected it, it made him jump when he heard Sealand tap at his window. On his tiptoes, he went to the window and carefully lifted it open, letting Sealand inside.
"Hey, I didn't tear my shirt on the wall this time!" Sealand exclaimed in a whisper. Latvia chuckled into his hand. The night before he had had to lend Sealand one of his shirts because the young boy had ripped his from climbing over the large wall around Russia's place. Latvia didn't complain though. The other boy had looked cute in his burgundy outfit, especially since the sleeves had been too long and the small boy look even smaller.
Sealand plopped himself onto the bed and smiled up at Latvia.
"Someday I won't have to climb the wall. I'll just march through that door, and Russia won't be able to do anything but watch! " he said, a bit too loud. He quickly covered his mouth with both hands. Latvia stopped breathing and both boys listened for any sign of life outside the door. It was almost ten minutes before they were brave enough to start talking again.
"Sorry 'bout that," Sealand murmured, hanging his head. "I forget how scared you are of Russia." For a moment, Latvia didn't say anything. Instead he leaned forward and placed a kiss on Sealand's forehead. The younger boy looked up at his older friend with a bright blush.
"That's just because I like you." Latvia explained. Sealand tipped his head to one side, as if thinking then leaned in and brushed a soft kiss on Latvia's lips.
"That's 'cause I like you too."
I hope I didn't completely fail. This is my first Hetalia pairing so tell me what you think. And once again, Cheryl dear, thank you for being so supportive of my writing. I hope to continue to dazzle you.
(Oh, and I found this funny and sad at the same time; Microsoft word doesn't recognize Sealand as a word. xD Poor Sealand!)
