Bella signs up for a scavenger hunt that a radio station is hosting in the local San Francisco area. Edward works as a DJ/host for said station, he and Bella talk almost every night without knowing who the other really is. On first meeting at the radio station Edward completely blows Bella off. Bella does the scavenger hunt; unknowingly she somehow gets something that puts her and those she love in danger. She ends up getting Edward to help her. It is later revealed that Edward used to be in prison for 'killing' his wife.
