Um, hi. This is my first Inuyasha fanfic, though I've written a lot of other fanfics. I think it went pretty well, though the chapter was a bit short. It might be pretty boring for the first chapter, but I promise it'll get better.
…..
The young girl fell down on her knees; her bruised arm was the only thing supporting her. Her strands of rich, raven black hair was plastered across her face, beads of sweat dotting her forehead.
Her long graceful fingers reached out, grabbing thin air. Her entire body was battered and cut, but she didn't seem to notice.
"In—" she breathed sharply, her breath cutting short. Her stomach tightened as she forced the words out of her mouth. "Inuyasha."
From a mile away, all you would be able to see was a pile was silver strands spattered in red. It lay motionlessly on the dirt cold ground. Not far away, you should be able to scope out a few of his companions.
"Inuyasha," Kagome begged as she was being lifted onto Karara, who came safe out of hiding. She resisted getting on, persistent for staying a bit longer. "Please. Lets go."
Inuyasha made no movement, his eyes were sealed tightly—almost painfully—shut. Kagome was almost afraid that he would never make a move, but to her pleasant surprise, he did. It was such a sudden movement that Kagome's body jolted in shock that brought her stomach into a tighter pain.
His clawed fingers tightly grasped the sword lying next to him; it was hurled with crimson blood.
"Inuyasha," her voice was hoarse from saying his name. His eyes flickered, only that was it. She dug her hands into the dirt lying beneath her, grinding her heals. "GET UP! GET UP! YOU IDIOT!" She spat into the ground.
"Kikyo," he muttered the dreaded word. "Kikyo." His thin, crisp voice called out for her name. "SHUT UP! STOP SAYING MY NAME, KIKYO!"
Kagome stopped shouting his name. Her voice came to a halt, broken up in midair. Kikyo isn't here Inuyasha. She wanted to scream that at him, the painful truth. She wanted to have that fact punch him in the guts, breaking his heart. Why won't he just forget about her?
"KIRARA! GET THE HELL OFF ME!" She shrieked. She pressed her clammy hands against her forehead for her rational decision. "I'm sorry," her lashes glazed with tear. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
The sad animal retrieve away from her, almost hurriedly. It whimpered in sympathy. Miroku, Sango, and Shippo's bodies swayed slightly.
"Kikyo," Inuyasha whispered in the air. "Don't leave me Kikyo."
Kagome blinked away the tears, only a single drop escaped, rolling down her bloody cheek. A single path was cleaned down her face, she made no effort to wipe it away. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry," she continued whispering to herself.
"Kirara," she choked. "Take me away."
Her ragged body was lifted gently onto the back of the animal. She ground her teeth in pain. Light pain surged up her body. She lifted her head up, looking up at the limp body on the floor. "I'm sorry . . .
. . . I'm sorry, Inuyasha. I've tried so hard."
Sorry that was so short. PLEASE REVIEW!
