Summary: Intimate memories under the cover of twilight are simply forgotten in the bright harshness of the daylight as two starcrossed lovers have discovered. Will he ever remember the nymphlike beauty that visits him in the starry darkness? Or is it too late to play the role of 'Prince Charming' as the shadows that embraced her now hold her captive?

Summer heat drifted into the room from the partly open window, tickling the fine hairs of his cheek as he slept a dreamless sleep. Turning onto his side, the streams of silver light made his pale face glow with an ethereal light, his gentle face curved into expressionless innocence. With the grace of a nymph from days long past, tiny slippered feet touched upon the gray carpet and tiptoed cautiously over to the sleeping young man. Moonlight that had casted such a quiet spell of beauty on the mortal man hid itself behind the wisps of gray clouds as the stranger leaned over the still form.

Slender fingers reached out to hover over the man's face, bright eyes observing everything: the slight aristocratic curve of his nose, the soft sensuality of pale lips, and especially the caressing motion of the strands of hair on his skin. Trembling, she reached out to touch him, wondering about the authenticity of the beautiful sleeping mortal. His breath was warm as it washed over her palm, sending heat to her cheeks and feeding the blooms that coloured her face. His lashes fluttered like the wings of an angel, and in seeing his eyes, she imagined that she saw the summer blue of the morning.

"Who.." The impurity of language in the silence of the room stole her breath and pushed reality into the surreal world that had been created in the shelter of twilight. Eyes widened as ivory skin seemed to be erased after exposure to the moonlight, until he was abandoned to his own plane of wakefulness.

In the morning, he would rise with the sun and begin his daily routine without a thought to ivory skin and the sweet scent of honeydew. However, when the sun would set and the sand man would make his visit, the caresses that came with the twilight would begin..and end when the sun would cast its gloomy brightness into his eyes..

Author's Note: This chapter is short, and I'm not sure I like it. But hey, I finished it at 2:25 AM. I don't know if I will continue this one. -Grins Sheepishly.- I don't even known who the characters are, so I'll let you all give suggestions. If you're confused, it's alright in this first chapter. Descriptions are vague on purpose so as to give leniency to my flimsy whims and yours as well!
