Andrew leapt back from the counter with a squeal. But when the toaster danced across the counter again, he ran from the kitchen only to collide with Rachel.
Recovering her balance with practiced ease, Rachel brushed past and turned to glare at the appliance. She held up a bag of coffee beans. "Who do love?" The bag vanished from her hand and Rachel blew the toaster a kiss.
Andrew looked at her blankly.
Rachel led him back into the kitchen. "Let me explain the ritual involved in getting a coffee without offending the Retjull demons that live in the toaster..."
