THE JEWEL OF OLYMPUS
Hai guys! It's one of the team's first fanfics, and of course we chose Percy Jackson. So, sit back, eat a corndog and enjoy! :-)
CHAPTER 1
I awoke to the song of a crow. Not the prettiest song, but it wakes me up. I look at my watch. 5 A.M. it reads.
"Why must I have to be at the meeting so early?" I ask, throwing my pillow to the other side of the room. I had a meeting with Chiron, Annabeth, and Grover about a quest.
"Better get going." I said
We met at the big house at 6 A.M., just like Chiron said we would.
"Glad to see you all saw my Iris message." Chiron said, kind of sounding proud.
"How couldn't we,". I said, "You were kind of yelling. Insanely loud."
"Well, at least I got my point across. Now, I'm going to explain the quest." Chiron claimed
"This ought to be good." I whispered to Grover and Annabeth.
"Everything that is powerful has a source, Right? Well, Olympus is very, very powerful, and it's source is a jade-stone, also known as the jewel of Olympus, and it has been stolen. Your job is to recover it, and to also bring it back to Olympus." Chiron explained.
"So you're just gonna send us somewhere?" Annabeth asked, really angry.
"Not exactly. We know exactly where it is. It is hidden inside one of the volcanic mountains of Hawaii, located in the city of Oahu. On the west side, to be exact." Chiron said.
"You will leave in a week, on Monday. We will also send you with exquisite armor to protect you." Chiron assured us.
"Do we need to head back and start preparing?" Grover said
"It would be a good idea." Chiron said.
Annabeth and I started exchanging looks, and then she mouthed, 'He's such a goody-goody', and then I mouthed 'I know, right', in return. After that, we headed to our cabins.
On the way, we talked about the quest and the journey.
"What's our plan to get all the way to west coast of California?" I asked
"The plan is to walk through the camp woods. Then, we catch the Chariot of Damnation to California. After, we catch a boat in which Chiron purchased from The Poseidon Company to Oahu. From there, it should be smooth sailing." Annabeth explained to both me and Grover.
"Let's not jinx it." Grover said as we arrived to our cabins.
"Well, I think we should all use this Saturday to rest a bit. See you guys tonight at the fire." I said to them.
