"She said I have hips like a pear", Kurt vented, not really caring if anyone was listening, "I swear I'm never eating anything other than Splenda again", He finished furiously.
Puck tuned out the rest of the conversation after that, not really caring about any of the other nerds problems and thinking back to what Kurt had just said, because honestly, that kind of pissed him off. The dude was tiny, who in their right mind would think to tell him he needed to lose weight, I mean, really, Puck might have picked on the guy in the past but even he wouldn't touch the subject of his weight in fear that he might starve himself. Which is exactly what it sounded like he was going to attempt to do now and that just wasn't cool, Puck had watched the Cheerio's practice before and he knew that Kurt was the best one on that squad so should anyone mess with that? Who cares if the guy isn't as skinny as all of the girls on the team, he isn't a girl, even he had come to realize and respect that, and he shouldn't be expected to live up to the same weight goals as them.
As rehearsal drug on his mind kept wandering back to Kurt's statement anytime Rachel started spewing bullshit and by the time the bell rang he'd decided that it wouldn't be cool to keep quiet and watch Kurt starve himself. He was so caught up in trying to figure out a way to corner Hummel that he didn't notice as the choir room emptied out so that it was just him and Kurt who was quickly packing up his messenger bag.
"Whatever your planning Puckerman, can you please just hurry up and get it over with", Kurt whirled around to face Puck, "And please, avoid my face if you can."
Puck's eyebrows knitted together in confusion, "Dude, I'm not going to hit you."
"So we're going back to dumpster dives then", Kurt sighed, eyeing his outfit sadly.
"Dude, no", Puck said, shouldering his backpack and walking towards Kurt, noting the way the other boy shrunk in on himself as he approach, "I just wanted to say that what coach Sylvester said wasn't cool." He ran a hand over his Mohawk, "You shouldn't starve yourself, not just because someone like Sylvester told you too, if you get any smaller you're going to be borderline anorexic or something."
Kurt arched an eyebrow at him, "And why exactly do you care", He asked. "Do you think me being off of the Cheerio's give you and your buddy's permission to gang up on me again because if you haven't noticed they haven't stopped, you and Finn seem to be the only ones that have laid off the slushies and locker shoves."
"We didn't stop pushing you around because you're on Cheerio's, dude", Puck replied, "We stopped because we're in Glee and after we got a taste of our own medicine we found out how uncool it was." He backed up, letting Kurt move towards the door, "And you honestly think coach Sylvester is going to kick you off if you don't starve yourself like the rest of those idiots? Even she isn't that stupid, you're the best one on that team and she knows it, she isn't going to screw up her chances at nationals."
He followed Kurt as he made his way out to the parking lot, stopping to watch as Kurt put his bag into his car, "Just think about it, Hummel", Puck said as he walked towards his own truck. "If there is one thing I've learned this year it's that you shouldn't have to change who you are to please other people and I learned that from you, it'd be a shame to see you go against that, especially for something like Cheerios."
