A few words are not always enough
I'm normally a man of few words. However, today I do not think that a few words will be enough to describe Major Samantha Carter. She herself is complex. A brilliant scientist as well as a strong, remarkably capable soldier. She is the brain of this facility, this organisation. She's always there to help and she puts up with me! That alone deserves a pat on the back. She's someone I can rely on, who's always there to watch my six, to pull us out of impossible situations and she is someone who brings this base alive with her smile. I'm sure that everyone who has had the honour to serve with her will agree when I say she is someone you can trust with your life – I certainly do. She is one of the most intelligent people I have had the honour of serving with. When she joined my team at the beginning I quickly came to respect her and now it is a great privilege for me to award her this promotion, one that she truly deserves. You're one of the best 2IC's Carter and you sure do deserve this promotion. Congratulations.... Major!
