Twine of String

Author's Note: I don't own anything in this story. I wish I did own Gundam SEED though. Cagalli and Athrun pairing.
She had come to him, instead of him coming to her. She had literally pinned him to the wall, demanding an explanation. She seemed fearless, and for a moment, it left him speechless. But he couldn't deliver it to her.

"Don't you hear me Athrun?" she had demanded.

"Cagalli, I can't." he had answered. Her lips to his crushed his answer.

"Don't you believe in second chances? I'm giving you one." Cagalli whispered. Tears glistened in her eyes, threatening to fall.

He was dumbfounded, astounded that she was giving him a second chance, when no one else he knew had. She gazed into his green orbs before turning away. He loved the way her brown orbs always had the mischief he craved.

She turned away, afraid. If he didn't want this, then she would leave. She walked away; saddened at the fact that he didn't stop her. She sighed aloud, wondering how long it had been to be in someone's arms. She paused by her doorway, not going in. Tears started to fall as she thought of him.

"You seriously need to get yourself a girl." She said to him.

"I thought I already had one." He replied calmly. She whirled on him, almost colliding with him until he caught her.

"Look, if you don't I'll-" This time, he crushed her lips with his.

"Does that answer your question?" he smiled. Cagalli didn't look up.

Gently, he tilted her face to look at him, before kissing her deeply with passion. Cagalli whimpered with surprise before giving in. His hands wiped away the tears that were going to fall. She felt him smile and let him explore her mouth.

She pulled away first. She looked stunned, which was exactly what he wanted from her. He pulled her close, breathing in her scent. She sighed into his chest, listening to his heart beating. Tears that hadn't been wiped fell out of joy, not of sadness.

Then gently, she pulled him toward her room, tempting him to kiss her again. After closing the door, his arms found her waist and her arms found his neck. Laughing a little, she dared him to kiss her. He chuckled before plunging into her mouth.

Her gasp was muffled by the kiss, but she trusted him. Her back was now to the door after he had moved her. She was now the one pinned to the door. He pulled away, gazing into those wonderful brown orbs.

"Well?" he asked mockingly.

"Alright. This once it does." Her cheeks flushed red.

"Truce?" he asked as he caressed her face.

"Truce." She declared as her hand played with his hair. He grabbed her wrist. His other hand went to her shirt.

"Do you know what you're doing?" Cagalli asked, shakily.

"You have no idea." Athrun teased. He kissed her on the lips lightly before going to take off her shirt.

"Oh boy. This is going to take a while." Cagalli groaned. Athrun smiled as he continued. It was going to be a long night.
