"We should break up," Demyx said, avoiding the look of his now ex-girlfriend's face. He didn't want her shocked and teary eyed expression etched in his memory.

"Why?"

He shrugged. He hated doing this, it was irritating and annoying. "I don't want to date you anymore."

She breathed in deeply, wiped away her stray tear and stood straight. "Fine. We're done." She walked off without another word.

Demyx watched and let out a sigh, he tucked his hands in his pockets. "You can come out."

Axel peeked around the corner. "Why must I witness your break ups?"

"I need moral support."

"Yeah, sure, that's exactly the reason why I'm always present." Axel rolled his eyes. "Are we skipping class?"

Demyx nodded, he opened the window of the classroom and jumped out. Thankfully they were on the first floor and that class was about to start in ten minutes. The halls were loud with people rushing back and forth to classes, while a few students witnessed Demyx and Axel leaving.

"That was your third girlfriend this month. Something bothering you?" Axel asked, pulling at his tie and unbuttoning his collar.

Demyx shrugged, looking down at the sidewalk. "Nothing's wrong."

"Come on, don't lie. Something's up."

Demyx frowned. The heat was getting to him, his head burned and it didn't work well with his mullet. Wiping a bead of sweat rolling down the side of his face. He didn't like lying to Axel, and there was no point in lying anyway. The truth was going to come out sooner or later, might as well be from his own mouth.

Demyx sighed, he was ready to explain when someone bumped into him. The rays of the sun illuminated silvery blue hair and pale skin.

"Sorry," he mumbled before running across the street, followed by a golden blond and a brunette, both the same size.

Axel stared before saying, "Who are they? They look familiar."

Demyx recognized only one of the three. "The brown haired kid is Sora. Heard he was visiting his dying grandmother on some island, but from what we encountered, that was a lie."

Axel arched a brow, nodding. "You know Sora?"

"He sits in front of us in science since second term," Demyx said, laughing.

Axel ran his fingers through his sweaty hair. "Are you serious?"

"Why do you care? Aren't you dating that chick, Kairi?"

Axel wrinkled his nose. "Dude. Kairi's my younger cousin."

Demyx laughed. It was good that they were momentarily distracted, but he knew that he'd have to tell Axel the truth. It ate him up inside, he took a deep breath and said, "Xigbar's back."

Axel slowed his pace, his expression went blank. Demyx let him process what he heard, smiling nervously. Axel glanced around, panic consumed his green eyes as he grabbed Demyx and dragged him to a back alley, pushing him against the wall. "How do you know?"

Demyx swallowed his nerves, his hands were clammy. "He's doing it again."

Axel clenched his teeth, taking a long ragged breath before saying, "Are you serious?"

"My neighbor caught him standing outside my apartment. He had a cellphone and she overheard him say my name."

Axel stepped back. "We need to do something. We have to call the police, get a restraining order on this asshole. Do you want what happened last time to occur again?"

Demyx shook his head. Xigbar unnerved him, the mistakes he made disgusted him

"When did your neighbor see him?"

"A week ago," Demyx said, wincing when Axel swore.

"And you're telling me now?"

"I didn't know it was him. I thought maybe it was someone else, but he passed a note to one of my other neighbors that said to meet him at the park."

Axel shook his head. "That's disgusting, maybe you should stay at my place for awhile."

"He hasn't done anything yet."

"He will, Demyx. Once he finds his opening, he'll find a way to get to you. And if I'm not there."

Demyx looked at Axel and regretted the distress on his face before nodding. He understood what his friend meant. His own fear ate at him, a sickening feeling washed over his body before he agreed. They left the alley and headed down the street. Axel was a lot more wary of the people and their surroundings. Except to Demyx, it didn't feel completely real. It felt more like a lie, a dream that was twisting into a nightmare.
