A/N: I would like to create a new catergory for this drabble, weird. I honestly have no fraking clue where I came up with this. I'll post it any way it was written some time ago now. I always thought there was more to these two then meant the eye.
They stood frozen for a moment then he moved toward her. She was alive and right in front of him. Kara was alive. He brushed the hair out of her face and fought to hold back his tears. She looked like a frightened child, her eyes told him everything he needed to know. He smiled back at her, his heart aching because he couldn't tell her or the world for that matter how he felt at this moment.
He spent much of the afternoon talking with Laura Roslin but his thoughts keep coming back to Kara. He didn't know how, when, or even why, but he needed her more now then ever.
William Adama had very few regrets in his life, perhaps the biggest one revolved around Kara Thrace. When Zac died Kara was lost. She had no one to lean on. She had no reason to live. When he found her in the bar that night she was drowning her sorrows much the same way he was. The difference was that she was intoxicated and he wasn't as far gone.
He took her home after finishing his drink that night. He let her sleep off her grief. He didn't know why but having her there that night just felt right. She was conveniently assigned to Galactica after Zac's death. They talked a lot and became very close, maybe too close. They were a comfort to each other. She saw him as a father, he saw her as a daughter.
The day she jumped back to Caprica William Adama knew that his feelings for her had changed. Deep down inside he felt fear, not for Kara, his daughter, but for the woman he had grown to love so much more than he should have.
He couldn't tell her. He wouldn't tell her. He would keep his feelings for her locked up deep down inside and continue to love her only as a daughter. Gods willing it would be enough. He would never tell anyone he was in love with Kara Thrace
