Disclaimer: I own nothing. Also once Ventus is a slime I will give him the mimic ability and enhance it so he could mimic what things look like from memory, he will get a human looking form right away then and he will look a little different. And just to say this, he will have all the skills rimuru will have. But I won't start it off when he will be killed, it will be after he was reincarnated right before he meets veldora.
Prologue:
"Where am I." Ventus asked himself internally. "I...was stabbed...but...I don't feel any more pain. I can't see anything." He thought. "No hands or feet..I can't feel them." He thought as he tried to move around, feeling something dissolve under him. "Is that a plant? And it is...dissolving? What the heck am I?" He asked himself. He started to bounce after dissolving the flower. "I'm a slime...I am a freaking slime!!!" He yelled internally as he moved around. "Please tell me I can learn to see." He asked himself.
Hours or days have passed, he kept gobbling up plants and strange rocks due to how bored he was and soon learned how to speak with his unique skill Great sage, and see, he earned more skills as well. He kept wandering around and soon found a large dragon that was trapped in a force field of sorts. "Uh...are you alright?" He asked. "Huh...so the little slime I sensed made his way here. And to answer your question...I am trapped and incredibly bored." The dragon said. "Ah. Well what's your name?" Ventus asked.
"I am the storm dragon Veldora! And usually others are more afraid of me." Veldora said. "Well I've actually fought other monsters here before I met you, also I don't find you to be that scary." Ventus admitted. "Mhm. Anyways how about we make a deal?" Veldora asked. "What kind of deal?" Ventus asked. "We give eachother names and you find a way to get me out of here." Veldora said. "Like nicknames? Well how about I name you Tempest?" Ventus asked.
Veldora chuckled and smiled laughing. "Veldora Tempest it is. Then your name shall be. Hmmm. What kind of name would fit you?" Veldora asked. "Well I was reincarnated as a slime and in my past life my name was Ventus. You could always call me by my nickname which was Ven." Ventus said. "Very well, your name shall be Ven Tempest." Veldora said. Both of them felt a shine around each other and Ventus smiled. "So as for the way I get you out of that prison. How did you get in there anyways?" Ventus asked.
Veldora then explained how he got into the position that he was Ventus soon got an idea and explained it. "This may work. I may not be all too smart about this but it may work." Ventus said. "I shall let you try it. And once I come back I may not end up being imprisoned at all." Veldora said. Ventus nodded and soon used predator and great sage to swallow Veldora. Afterwards he made his way out of the cave he was in, killing mosnters, gaining more skills, and absorbing all magistone ore and hipokute herbs, soon learning how to speak out loud.
Chapter 1: Goblins and Wolves.
After several weeks of wandering the cave Ventus made it to a large door, it opened as he hid and he saw three adventurers. "It finally opened. That lock was so rusty it was falling apart." said one of the two male adventurers. "That's to be expected, nobody's come in here for 300 years." Said the other male adventurer. "We won't be attacked out of nowhere, right?" Asked the female adventurer. "Of course, it it comes to it, we can always use Escape." She added. "Humans? I don't think talking to them right now would be a good idea." Ventus thought to himself.
"All right, I'm gonna activate my Stealth Arts." Said one of the male adventurers before putting his fists together and making all three of the adventurers invisible, all of them walked away after that. "Hm, seems like a useful skill. Now I can get out of here." he thought to himself before going out of the cave and hopping through the forest. "I haven't been outside in so long!!" He exclaimed as he looked up at the sun. He soon heard the sound of feet and a large group of goblins stood infront of him, cowering while holding weapons fearfully.
"Strong one, do you have business here?" Asked a goblin who was wearing a do-rag like bandana. "Strong one?" Ventus asked himself quietly. "Not really, I was just hopping around. Sorry if my presence was bothering you." Ventus said to the goblins. "No..we just sensed a powerful presence so we came here as a precaution." The bandana wearing goblin replied. "Ah, I see. Anyways my name is Ven Tempest. Feel free to just call me Ven." Ventus said. "Strong one, having seen your power we wish to ask a favor." The goblin said.
"Ok, go ahead. I'll help out." Ventus said cheerfully. "It'd be nice to help some potential friends." He added before he was led to a goblin village. "Welcome visitor. I am the elder of this village." A old goblin chief stated. "Hello, nice to meet you, please just call me Ven." Ventus replied. "What was the favor you wanted to ask me?" He asked. "Have you noticed that monsters have been unusually active as of late?" The elder asked. "Not really, I only got out of a cave about 5 hours ago." Ventus replied.
"But if you need help protecting your village from a group of monsters, leave it to me. All I ask is that you get me some form of clothing, you see I can mimic a human's form and I need clothes since when I first went into that form I was naked." Ventus explained and the elder nodded. While the bandana wearing goblin went to get Ventus a pair of pants the elder explained why the goblin tribe needed help. Once Ventus got the pants he changed into a form that looked similar to that of his past life's, though the only changes were he was taller, his hair was a light blue, and his eyes were an amber yellow.
"Now how about we form a defence against the Direwolves. I can handle the rest." Ventus explained as he helped the goblins form a type of fence, he also used steel thread and sticky thread in the defence to make it look as if the goblins had training with bows and arrows. Before all of that he healed all of the wounded. "Now we wait for the direwolves." Ventus said as he sat down, turning back into a slime as he waited. "Ven-sama. We will pledge our loyalty to you after this! Please protect us from now on!" The elder said and Ventus only nodded.
It was at nightfall when the direwolves decided to attack. "It is a fine night. Veldora's protection has vanished from this forest. We have nothing to fear any longer. Tonight, we will destroy the Goblin Village and create a foothold here in the Great Forest of Jura!" Said the leader of the pack of direwolves. The whole pack howling in agreement. "We will rule this forest! Our claws can tear apart any monster, and our fangs can chew any monsters to pieces!" The pack leader added before howling and running towards the village with his pack.
Once they got near the village the direwolf leader laughed. "What good will such a flimsy fence do?" He asked. "Father." Said the pack leader's son said, pointing out Ventus. "A Slime?" Asked the pack leader. "Turn back now and we won't take any action, this is a warning to you." Ventus announced. "Insolence! No mere slime can order around us Direwolves!" Retorted the head direwolf. "Trample down that fence!" He ordered his fellow direwolves.
The direwolves ran at the fence only to be cut down my the steel thread. The leader direwolf noticed this as Ventus was laughing. "Steel thread, this is your doing!?" The lead direwolf asked. "Yep, one of my skills." Ventus said. "I will squash you!" The angered direwolf yelled as he ran at Ventus, braking the steel thread and pounced at Ventus, only to be caught by sticky thread. Ventus used his skill water blade to decapitate the lead direwolf before he absorbed the body.
"Yield to me and I shall let you leave peacefully, do not attack this village!" Ventus announced as he used mimic to mimic the appearance of a direwolf, howling while using the skill menace. The pack approached as Ventus howled, bowing before him. "Our pack yields to you!" The whole pack announced. Ventus sweatdropped at this but smiled and he turned into his human appearance. "Ok then. Thank you." Ventus said chuckling. "It is good that there is no need to fight anymore, nothing beats peace." Ventus said before all the goblins cheered.
In the morning Ventus gathered them all up and had each goblin stand with their own direwolf. "Ok so today I will be giving you all names! This way I can tell you all apart and so you all become stronger, this will help with protecting the village." Ventus announced shocking everyone. "All the goblins line up first, starting with the elder and his son." He said and the goblins all lined up. He named the village elder's son Rigur, and he named the elder Rigurd. He named the rest of the village and the direwolves, the new leader of the direwolves being named ranga, before passing out and turning into just a mass of melted slime since he used up too many magicules.
