"Where is she?!" I burst in, growling.
"Shush!" Everyone snapped immediately. Donnie smiled and pointed to her room.
Curiosity got the better of me and i opened the door silently, surprised at the sight before me. I knew the others must not know about this, but i did. Finally. Christi was curled up adorably like a cat on her bed, sleeping. In her arms were my sai, clasped to her chest like they were the most precious things ever. I smiled and turned to leave when i heard a small whimper coming from Christi. I stepped back towards her and saw that her face was creased with trouble, and that she was frowning slightly. "No... Come back..." She mumbled in her sleep, clutching onto the sai tighter. I was afraid the sharp prongs were going to hurt her so i gently started to remove them, but to my shock, tears began to stream from her closed eyelids.
"Christi! Wake up!" I hissed, panicked, and shook her shoulders. She awoke blearily, her eyes fluttering open.
"Mmh... R-Raphie?" She stammered. I didn't even notice she had used that name and touched my fingers lightly to her cheek. She started crying again and i sat next to her, pulling her close and clasping her head to my chest. "I-i'm sorry, d-did i disturb you?" She whispered.
"No, of course not. I was just looking for my sai and i came in and you were having one heck of a nightmare." I explained.
"Oh... I'm sorry i took them, i-i just-" I cut her off.
"Hey hey hey, it's alright. Just tell me next time. I don't mind." I assured, rubbing her back in soothing circles. "So, you gonna tell me what exactly you were dreamin' about?"
"I-i... T-the others, they were gone... A-and you, you left me alone... I was scared, and alone..." She whimpered again, just softly. I gritted my teeth, not because i was angry for once, but because she had to go through all this.
"How often does this happen. The truth." I demanded, looking at her directly.
"F-frequently... F-five or six times a-a week..." She admitted gingerly.
"Look at me." I ordered. At first she didn't listen. "Christi, look at me." She did reluctantly. "That would never happen. My brothers and i are pretty much invincible, Master Splinter... Well, i'm pretty sure that he's like, immortal, or something, and i would never, ever leave you. Ever. Aways believe that." I told her firmly.
"... P-promise?" She stuttered.
"Promise." I nodded. She kissed me gently on the lips before smiling, regaining her sparky nature.
"I'll hold you by that one, Raphael Hamato."
