As she gracefully dodged the gunner's bullets, her eyes would frequently move to Tony's direction to see if he was watching her performance. She was only risking her life for the man that made it worthwhile; though he may never reciprocate her feelings, he had made her the happiest woman alive just by pulling her into his arms the previous evening.

This human gunner was good, better than she anticipated.

She had declared Tony was hers, because she was a woman. She can dream. Tony would never be hers; those orange eyes that she admired never left the conductor of this battle she was fighting in.

All she wanted was for him to notice her, to tell her she was beautiful, and to have his complete and undivided attention without mentioning Jomy.

She was about to perform her greatest trick, but as aforementioned, the gunner was better than she originally expected.

Several bullets had gone through her body, splashing her dull dress a boastful, natural red. After that, she was tired, though. She decided it was time to retire, to go back home and rest; she had had enough of this risky soiree.

Before exiting the dance floor, though, the man she loved finally noticed her via her new, red dress. He had cried her name to get her attention, scooped her into his arms, and hesitantly escorted her out, begging for her to come back.

With her last bit of consciousness, she asked herself, "Was dying for him worth it?"

Seeing as he finally noticed her…

It was.

Author's Notes: Before you ask me, "why did you compare the battle against the humans and Mu with a soiree"? Let's see. In the subs, the battle place was called "The Rendezvous point". So. Yeah. 8D
