Author's Note: So, this is a free verse short story about Tsubaki Sawabe's feelings cause I feel bad for her. BTW, this takes place after the events of the Arima piggyback ride she received in episode 6. Enjoy!
As if life was getting more of a mess
for Tsubaki Sawabe. She lied on her bed, bandage-clad
and heartbroken as she ever felt. Her eyes
weren't even shining as usual. Instead, they were
cloudy as they were filled with confused feelings and jealousy
between her childhood friend who was there for him
every step of the way.
But now, she feels like she's been replaced
by a certain blond haired girl by the name
of Kaori Miyazono.
Even thinking her name made Tsubaki have a bad taste
in her mouth as she thought about how her so-called "friend"
would end up stealing the one friend who she cherished memories with,
happy and sad.
Sure, Kaori wasn't a bad person.
After all, she was the one person who helped Arima
go back into performing again.
But, then her heart had to get in the way of her life
as she discovered that she was in love with
her "hopeless kid brother".
That she was competing with this beautiful blonde who
was everything she wasn't. As musically skilled with Arima,
who understood him and was by his side a
majority of the time.
She told Arima on the piggyback ride home that
she lost the most important baseball game
and let her teammates down
all because of her unrequited heart and
her jealousy of one
pretty
cute
blond haired
free spirited
girl
stealing her childhood friend whom she told nearly everyone
that she wasn't into her "hopeless kid brother" in a romantic way.
When in actuality,
that was all a lie.
All a lie
from the cloudy-eyed girl.
