She was different then regular people. Hell, she was different then regular nymphs. She sat on the river. She wasn't floating on the water but just sitting on it. Her legs folded beneath her and her hands in her lap. The crystal blue lake reflected the full moon off it. The girls mind seemed to be elsewhere as she gazed at the moon.
Sighing softly she ran a pale hand through her sapphire locks. Ruffling it slightly wisps of the hair grazed her shoulder. Closing her eyes she took in her surroundings around her. Letting the crisp air fill her lungs to the breach. She opened her eyes once more to allow baby cerulean eyes to peep through. Her ears adjusted to the sound. She heard footsteps coming closer to her river.
Giving one last glance at the moon she allowed her wings to unfold from her back. The transparent wings fluttering fiercely making her hair whip around her. The light blue wings had traces of black running though them. Spirals covering the wings in black lining and followed to her shoulder blades where the wings began.
A startled gasp made her focus on the human standing behind her. Her mid-knee tattered dress brushing against her knees the ends ruffling softly. It was a tattered dress beginning around her chest and flowing down to her knees. It looked as if someone had taken a knife and sliced pieces into it. Her eyes flew to the human her wings instantly bringing her up.
"Wait! Don't go!" the mortal called to her. Giving him an odd look she stayed in her position over the lake. She took in his god like appearance. His hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, his sea green eyes focused on nothing but her, and his pale skin shone in the moonlight. He looked like the gods himself. He trudged forward into the river.
Instantly soaking his dress pants, he removed his shirt before throwing it back to shore. He walked till her was to his waist and could not go any further without having to put effort into it. Giving him a curios stare the nymph floated downwards. Her body twisting so her face was right in front of his.
"Yes?" she answered, her voice flowing like water in a stream. He closed his eyes as if absorbing her voice for his memories. She raised a eye brow before floating back up. Snapping his eyes open he watched her stand on the water.
"How can you do that?" he questioned. He wasn't use to anything this abnormal.
"I'm a nymph, what do you expect human?" she said laughing at his expression.
"What is your name my nymph?" he asked as he watched her sit down with her legs folded beneath her once again.
She glanced down at his face and gave a sad look, "Don't worry about that human."
"Its Zoisite." He said not liking the way he was being referred to.
"It's a jewel am I correct?" she said her eyes full of questions.
"Yes, nymph it's a type of jewel." He responded his arms folding over her legs and his head looking up and locking eyes with his. Giving a small smile he continued to gaze into the yes of his nymph.
"Is there something wrong Zoisite?" she said her hand moving over his hair. Sliding over the gel slicked hair. Shaking his head he gave her a small smile.
"Nothing Nymph nothing." He said shaking his head. Her gaze was instantly withdrawn from his as she heard footsteps coming in they're direction. Snatching herself up she flapped her wings. Gazing back at her dragon's forlorn expression she flew back down.
Her head reaching hover over his face. Grasping his face in her hands she brought him up and placed a soft gentle kiss on his lips. As fast as it had begun it was over and she had flew off. Leaving the stars twinkling back at him. Zoisite gave a small sigh before as he turned his back and walked off. He would see his nymph again. He promised it.
