Faith's New Watcher
Title: Faith's New Watcher
Author: Darklight
Feedback: dmiovski@zonnet.nl send them to me, need a lot of them.
Disclaimer: Not mine, only borrowing Faith.
Summary:
Faith deserves to get her own Watcher when she leaves prison after serving her sentences. And I'm a fan of Callisto, so I'm getting HL as her New Watcher with Callisto's temperament and fighting abilities, Cally Lyonee The New Watcher an explosive mix. Spoilers: some events are only mentioned from Angel season two & three.
My Faith just turned eighteen in prison before getting released, takes place between 6 and 9 months before Faith makes her appearance on Angel, also Faith hasn't seen or heard a thing from Angel after his talk with Faith in jail.

Faith stands at the front gates of the prison, she is just being released into the world again after serving a sentence of two years.
Standing there with closed eyes Faith is savouring the warmth of the sun and the absence of the normal prison noise she endured during her stay. The street in front of her is abandoned at this early time no cares in sight. Faith starts to look around like she's waiting for something or someone.
'So what am I going to do now, where am I going to go'
"Angel"
The first word Faith utters outside of prison in two years, so many conflicting thoughts and feelings surface with the mention of his name, he made me believe and trust again that this time around it would be different this time around I would not be alone. Giving me hope for the first time after Kakisto killed her and now almost three years ago, there isn't anything left of the hope I had and I'm alone again.
He promised me to be there for me and to not leave me alone, did he keep his promise?
No Angel didn't keep his promise, in the end he was just like everybody else.
Angel visited me once and didn't come and see me not once after that, no visits, no letters, not even a simple phone call, didn't even get someone else to contact me or explain to me why he couldn't come or even explain himself in person why he didn't visit like he promised for the last two years.
Faith stays still her eyes closed not moving from her place for a couple of hours, all the time letting her thoughts drift toward Angel and him not keeping his promise and be there for her, not visiting her.
Not wanting to give in to believing that Angel is the same as the Scoobs. Faith isn't prepared to give up yet, clinging to the idea that Angel still would come and get her or send someone. And that Angel or whoever he sends was simply late, maybe being held up on the way, but as the hours pass Faith finally realizes that no one is coming for her.
It happened again, the same treatment she got when she was in a coma, they simply forgot about her, couldn't be bothered with her. But this time Faith wasn't going to make the same mistake she made the last time. No one visited her during her coma in the hospital, there was not one personal item of any kind in her room, not a book, picture, get well cards, flowers of any kind to show that anybody cared for her or wanted to help her when or if she ever woke up.
Then I woke up and the Scoobs couldn't pretend anymore that I didn't exist and when I confronted them on campus they half-hearted made an attempt with we want to help you. If they really had wanted to help me, where were they for the eight months I was in a coma?
This time I'm going to make sure that no one will find out that I'm out of prison, I'm going to leave LA quite and make sure that no one will even know I passed through on my way to .... wherever I'll end up, so long it's far away from LA and Sunnydale.
Not having any real money on me I'll leave the same way I left SD, by hitching rides on cargo trains.
Locating a train yard wasn't difficult, but finding a railroad track that heads east away from LA and Sunnydale, back the way I came took longer.
After Faith locates some, she goes to get some provisions with the small amount of money she has, for her journey by train. After buying the bare necessities, I'll need, I make myself comfortable on a patch of grass I found near the tracks and wait for nightfall to make my move, the best time to get onto the train without being seen.
A small distant from Faith hidden behind some trees stands a lone figure, well out of Faiths sight, keeping an eye on her. Faith isn't aware of being watched.
The sun has almost disappeared as Faith wakes up from her short nap, looking up at the sky from her position on the ground. It's twilight not yet night but also not day, neither and both, slowly the blue-sky turns black, but no stars can be seen.
Faith's fully rested and awake from her short nap, looking at the sky for a couple of minutes, she gets up and starts putting all her gear together and preparing for her train. After waiting for about half an hour her cargo train arrives and she prepares herself for to jump onto the moving train.
Jumping onto the train was easy, when I land inside I make my way to the front of the container, make myself comfortable and sit down.
The mysterious figure follows Faith and also jumps onto the moving train, she catches the last one. Landing inside of the train without making any sound.
The way she jumped onto the train, like it's the easiest thing in the world. With powerful fluent steps caring her fast from her hiding place over the rails toward the train Faith jumped on. One moment she stands still the other moment she is moving and another one she's on board of the train, if there would have been any witnesses, they would have only seen a shadow, nothing more.
It's full moon and the light gives us a first look at her, she's wearing a black leather trench coat, has waist long full blond hair, sharp facial features, emerald green eyes and a slim powerful body.
