In which Harriet rolls over for the first time.

"APRIL! APRIL COME HERE. COME QUICKLY!" Jackson shouted.

She entered the room, holding a sweater she quickly tossed on a chair, breathing almost too heavily for the short run across the hall down to her daughter's nursery. "What- what happened? Something happened?" April found them on the floor, Jackson kneeled down on the carpet, and Harriet by his side, completely laid back, with both her tiny hands pointing to the ceiling.

"She did it."

"Did what? Jackson?"

"She rolled over." He said, proudly. "We've been practicing all morning and she finally did it!"

"Oh my God. She did?" April sat on the floor, putting her legs under her body, and staring at her daughter with a smile.

"Yep." He nodded. "Harriet rolled over. She was laying here, with her tummy down and then it she did it."

"I can't believe I missed it!"

"She can probably do it again." He said, giving her an understand look, softly patting Harriet's tummy. "C'mon sweetheart… roll over for mommy."

"Yes, baby. Let's try again for mommy!" April said, carefully placing Harriet in position, with her belly turned down, facing the blue carpet floor. "You can do it!"

"She did it all by herself."

"Harriet? Sweetie?" April called out, but the baby didn't move. "Nothing! Really, Harriet?" She pouted, defeated, and Jackson let out a loud laugh. "What?"

"It's funny. She did it for me!"

"This is so not funny!" She playfully hit him on the shoulder, frustrated. "She was supposed to start doing all these things with me."

"Well, she knows who the real MVP is so…"

"Oh really?" She teased him, picking her daughter up from the floor and lifting her up to her chest. "'Cause as I remember the real MVP here is me… cut open on a kitchen table because of miss Harriet here… I have rights!"

"She loves surprising her daddy, what can I say?" Jackson replied, winking, and reaching out for Harriet's stuffed animal placed on a chair next to him, a cute little yellow Lion they had named Sloan. "But she'll do it again, don't worry."

"I know." April retorted, nodding, before placing one soft kiss on her daughter's pink cheek.

"I didn't realize it was possible to be so proud of someone for rolling over." Jackson confessed, looking up at April with a dreamy stare.

"Just wait for how proud you'll be when she uses the toilet!" April said, making him laugh.

"True."
