As we watched the stars,
I noted your silence, but said nothing
Suddenly, a white-hot tail appeared,
I pointed to it in astonishment
Silence greeted me,
The moment died
I turned back, half-expecting,
To see you crouched by a bush, grinning
Emptiness was all that came
To meet me, as I stared hard
You did not reappear laughing,
To ease my worry
Where did you go,
My blonde love
I called your name
Yet there was no reply.
