I made this at school because of a Poetrypalooza or something. I ended up writing this in one class where we focused on poetry by reading them and we made our own. Because of how little time I spent, (maybe an hour or a few minutes?) this is just really short. The only reason I uploaded this is so that I have something to be proud of writing so my profile doesn't look empty from all the disappointment in myself. Don't expect another poem.
Fire Emblem: Awakening and Lucina belong to Nintendo or something.
I ready my blade and put on my mask
I'm ready to go to the past
On an adventure with family and friends
To save the world from its tragic end
I am a Lord, Ylisse's exalt,
I won't let Father croak out "It's not your fault"
"I challenge my fate"
I'll change the events before it's too late
Stopping Emmeryn's fall
To prevent death and destruction among all
Save Father from his demise
And stop Grima from his rise
But to no avail
Although saving Father isn't a fail(ure)
Was the reason I fought
Only to be for naught?
Father now sees the brand in my eye
And looks down at Falchion hanging on my side
Now he knows why his Falchion has a double
"You deserved better from me than one sword and a world of troubles"
A long time before I made this, I remembered that Lucina's mask is in the shape of a butterfly and there's a concept in time travel referred to as the "butterfly effect" where every small cause has a large effect. One example is Life is Strange where Max rewinds time to save Chloe from being killed and do certain events to progress or continue to save Chloe from dying. The time rewinding results in a large storm five days after the game starts and Max has to decide whether to go back to the beginning and let Chloe die to prevent the storm or sacrifice Arcadia Bay and the citizens' lives. So basically, Lucina's mask may or may not be a visual pun.
By the way, a tactician and a lord fight a sorcerer. What happens next will shock you.
