A/N: I do not own Harry Potter. I just manipulated the characters to fit my crazy fantasies. Thank You.
Harry Potter leaned his back against the wall. In the cool night air it still held the warmth of the day before. He sighed he was sitting in the very alley where he had first seen Sirius. It was ironic to think that this here he had woken up. The sleep walking had to stop before he got caught by the muggle police. Why? The question that had bothered him for weeks now.
Why did Sirius have to go the ministry that particular night? Why couldn't he have stayed at home instead of going down like a bloody hero and leave him here all alone? No. He wasn't alone the pile of unopened letters that grew each day were a testament to that. But he couldn't bring himself to open them. He knew they would all read the same way.
Harry we're really worried about you please write to us.
I know how you feel. But we can't help you if do don't let us in.
But they didn't know how he felt. And they couldn't help him. He didn't care if they were worried. He exhaled heavily, he shouldn't be thinking like this. They only wanted to help and they really did care. But he couldn't bring himself to care. He didn't feel anything. He would give his right arm just to feel something other than hurt. He got up and began the long walk back to Privet Drive.
He let himself into the Durlsey's kitchen and walked upstairs to his room. Hedwig was waiting for him with a dead mouse clutched in her beak and a letter tied to her leg.
"Hey there girl what have you got there?" Harry said softly as he untied the letter and read it. He immediately recognized the swirly emerald ink.
Harry,
I am writing to inform you of a change that will take place this year at Howgarts. There will be a change in the daily routine, also in the yearly routine. Please don't worry about the Quidditch teams. Your lifelong ban has been lifted. Also please be aware of a new student who will be transferring from the States to Howgarts. She has already been sorted and has been put in Gryffindor. It would be of great service if you and your friends would look out for her and show her around Howgarts. At this point in the letter you may be wondering when we are coming to pick you up. Lupin, Moody and Tonks should be there momentarily.
See you soon,
Albus Dumbledore
No sooner had he put down the letter did he hear a knock on the door. Walking down the hallway he opened the door to a crusty looking old man in an ugly pinstriped suit.
"Errrrrrrrr, can I help you?" Harry asked curiously because he was sure that he had never seen this man before in his life. Then it suddenly hit like the knight bus. "Tonks?" He said unsure.
"You catch on fast
kid; I don't know why they say those things about you!" She said
so seriously that Harry before realized what she was saying.
"Hey, who says what things about me?" He said defensively but
before he could get more words out Tonks had pushed her way into the
front hall.
