The Strike Freedom
Why is it named so?
It's because it's what it does.
It kills freedom.
The
one who sits in its cockpit,
Believes
he is fighting for freedom.
Slaying
those who oppose freedom,
For
the good of mankind.
But
isn't true freedom isolation?
Freedom
from bonds.
Freedom
from responsibilities.
Freedom
from everything connected to the world.
''Free''
to wonder around having to not care.
What
happens to the ''freedom'' of those struck by the strike freedom?
It
is gone.
There
is no future for the dead.
So
how can they be free?
Yet,
They
are free,
Because
they are dead.
No
longer bound to the world of the living and
Their
crisis
And
conflicts.
The
would seem as though the strike freedom was an amazing machine.
With
wing-like structures that made it look like a beacon of hope.
Made
it look as though there was still hope for its allies.
Made
it look as though it was the end of those who stood in its way.
Made
it look as though the one piloting it has found freedom –
And
wanted to share to joy of being free
With
the World.
By killing.
No
one realizes the torment of the pilot
Behind
the fight scenes everyone sees.
The
anguish of having killed.
The
pain of knowing he failed to protect those closes to him.
Despite
having sworn to do so.
The
embodiment of freedom.
The
knowledge of war tears him apart.
It would take a miracle to make him free again.
The Strike Freedom's Pilot – Kira Yamato.
