E/O Drabble Challenge
Challenge Word: BUSY
Word Count: Doubl Drabble - 200 words on the nose.
Other players in the challenge are now too many to list here! There're lots of people planting these Supernatural flowers. You can find the list of names at Enkidu07's profile page and/or OnyxMoonbeam's profile page. Also, to find all of the lovely drabbles, there's a sweet little C2 community out there to subscribe to and enjoy. You can find the link on their profile pages mentioned above.
Disclaimer: Neither the boys nor anything related to Supernatural belongs to me. I'm just having some fun with the boys, playing around with Eric Kripke's sandbox.
TOOLS OF THE TRADE
By: Vanessa Sgroi
The bell tinkled delicately as the Winchester brothers entered. Dean's gaze immediately began to roam the vintage clothing store.
"May I help you?" peeped a thin, bird-like woman from behind them.
Indulging in a giant grin, Dean cleared his throat. "Yes, ma'am. Do you have any clothes from the 70s?"
The clerk swallowed hard, pointing. "Certainly. Over there in the corner."
The brothers approached the racks, Sam with trepidation, and began to browse.
"I don't like any of these," Sam hissed, "the patterns are all too busy."
Dean grinned. "Man, you really are a girl."
"Dean…"
"Sorry, Sammy," Dean held up a shirt, eyeballing it to see if it would fit his brother, "but you're gonna have to suck it up and go undercover at this 70s festival."
"Why me?" This had become an oft heard question for the last two hours.
Dean held up a pair of bell bottom pants whose pattern was so busy it made Sam's eyes cross. "Because you have the hair, remember? You'll fit in better."
Sam's frowned but quickly brightened, pulling out a vintage Led Zeppelin t-shirt. "Hey, this'll work!"
"No." Dean shook his head.
"Why not?"
"'Cause I'm buying that one for me."
