"Papa." 4 year old Kotomi calls out rushing to Naoki handing him his lunch.

"Thank you Kotomi." Naoki bends down and kisses her forehead.

"Irie-kun," Kotoko says sadly. It was beginning to really piss her of how he did show more love towards Kotomi. She was his wife dammit, every time they are about to make love Kotomi wakes up or has a night mare. "Remember it is our anniversary tonight."

"Yes I remember." He says coldly.

"Well I have booked a hotel room and we have dinner reservations at the hotel's restaurant at 7:30pm." Kotoko said with a small smile.

"Ok" Naoki turns to hide a his grin.

"Yeah a hotel" Kotomi shouts out in glee, while jumping up and down.

"No Kotomi you are staying with obaa-chan." Kotoko tells Kotomi.

"No I go" Kotomi insist.

"Fine whatever. You two have a nice time and I will go and see Chris." Kotoko says grabbing her bag and walking out of the door.

Once out of the door Kotoko runs all the way to the bus station. Once at work she changes into her uniform and walks into the nurse's quarters. Only Motoki was there.

"Kotoko, are you ok?" Motoki asked seeing the blank expression on his friend's face.

"No I have had enough." Kotoko snaps.

"Of what?" Motoki asked placing his bag in his locker.

"I can't even have one night with Irie-kun." Kotoko says with a sob. She covered her eyes with her hands.

"Huh?" Motoki didn't quite understand what Kotoko was talking about.

"Kotomi is always first and I understand that she is my daughter and I love her but ahhhh." She almost shouts. "We haven't been intimate since she was two or even a night to ourselves. I sound like a horrible mother."

"You're not a horrible mother. It's natural to want to spend 'time' with your husband. Hey isn't it your anniversary tonight? Aren't you going out like you? You had planned to." Motoki reminded her hoping to cheer her up.

"Oh I planned to have a meal and a night at the hotel we spent my 26th birthday at but Kotomi wants to come. Irie-kun is not going to say no to her." Tears began rolling down her face. "I don't know how much more I can take. It was cute to begin with but now it seems to get worse."

"She has a daddy-complex. What do you mean you can't take it anymore?" Motoki asked pressing record on his phone app.

"I love him but I don't think he loves me anymore and if he does he doesn't show it. I can't live like this any longer. I feel like I'm falling apart." Kotoko said standing up from the bench and walked out the door.

She had managed to avoid Naoki though out her shift. After her shift finished she headed to her dad's restaurant. Her dad looked very surprised to see her, has he knew it was their night out.

"Kotoko, what are you doing here?" Shigeo asked opening his arms as he saw her tear stained face.

"Daddy can I stay?" Kotoko asked muffed as she buried her head in his chest.

"What happened?" Shigeo asked rubbing soothing patterns over her back.

Kotoko told her dad everything and by the end of it she was drifting to sleep. Shigeo took out his phone and called his son-in-law. 20 minutes later Naoki showed up.

"I have never intervened in your raising of my granddaughter or your marriage to my daughter but I am now. I have had Kotoko crying since she got here about everything. She had had enough. Soon she is not going to stay. A friend of mine marriage broke because of the same thing. You need to tell Kotomi no, yes a child's needs are put before your own but it is her need to be told no. When Kotomi says that she will marry papa you tell her no. When she says she wants to go yours and Kotoko date you say no. When she says you love her more that Kotoko you don't say things like yes or that's right because it hurts Kotoko."

"She know I love her." Naoki urged.

"That's not true," Motoki says coming through the door with a tape recorder in hand. "I love him but I don't think he loves me anymore and if he does he doesn't show it. I can't live like this any longer."
