"Beck wait," Tori said, "Her picking on me was an assignment from Sikowitz"
"Really," Beck asked skeptically
"Really," Tori said
"And Ryder?"
"Real"
"Is this being filmed?"
"No. I have to report to Sikowitz on if Jade stayed in character or not. Me and Jade have become friends lately."
Jade stared at Tori. She was amazed. Jade had always been mean to her for the most part and yet Tori was covering for Jade so that Jade wouldn't get in trouble. Maybe Tori wasn't as bad as she thought.
"Wow," Beck said, "I'm sorry babe. I didn't know. That must have been hard for you. You had to be mean to your friend even though you knew I wouldn't be happy about it."
Jade swallowed hard.
"It was," she said, "and now I must break character for a second to say thank you... Vega"
"You're welcome... West"
From that day on Tori and Jade did become friends. They were real friends because Tori covered for Jade.
