Jenova, calamity or goddess?
the final fantasy world is large and many things hidden but sometimes we get a peek into the unknown and see what might be hidden. in final fantasy Jenova is seen as a monster and usually overlooked but i beleve theres more to her.
in final fantasy 7 crisis core we learned that sepharoth was not alone and 2 others were winged like him due to jenova cells implanted inside them. they are Angeal Hewley and Genesis Rhapsodos. with angeal having a white wing and genesis having a black wing.
in crisis core a poem called loveless is mentioned many times and the first part has alot in common with the characters:
When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end
The goddess descends from the sky
Wings of light and dark spread afar
She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting
just like jenova came from the heavens, her wings are the characters her light wings being angeal and zack or cloud, and genisis and sephroth bing the dark wings.
the gift being the life stream, but due to her being from another world it is poisonous so very few can use it, mostly those connected to her.
the reason she is seen as evil is due to religion similar to what happen to the pagan gods
