A Pregnant Woman's Boredom

This was crazy.
Tayla was to be bed ridden because she was so close to giving birth. She could not do anything with going off world and search for her people, she could not train, and she could do nothing but stay in her room, go to the bathroom and once a day walk around.
This was insane.
"Dr. Keller," Tayla said
"Yes Tayla?"
"What am I supposed to do?"
"Well…." Dr. Keller wracked her brain. "You could make cards."
"What?"
"Cards, announcing the birth of you son."
"Oh."
So over the next week or so Tayla made cards announcing the birth of her son, but that only satisfied her for a bit longer than a week before she had made cards for everyone in Atlantis and at the SGC headquarters as well and then for all of her people (for when they found them) and she was back to being bored again.
Shepard and Rodney had given her all the DVDs they had for her to watch and Dr. Keller and Kate would come in and talk to her and play monopoly or chess or some of her Athosian games. Tayla knew though that she could not take up all of their time. Shepard, Rodney and Ronon all where busy with off world missions. Dr. Keller had the wounded (from missions and Ronon's constant sparring) and Ronon to deal with. Kate also had her own patients.
One day during the time she was allowed out of her room she walked though the halls of the living quarters when she heard music, a light plunking sound. She followed it into a room with a young women sitting down at a weird instrument and hitting keys. The lady turned.
"Oh I am sorry," she said "Did I disturb you?"
"No," said Tayla "What is that?" she asked
"Oh this is a piano, it is a musical instrument on earth," she explained "I used to play before I went into the military, I decided to get back into it now that I am no longer allowed off world, this is one of the more basic key board pianos,"
"What reason do you have for being stuck here?" asked Tayla the women lifted up her pant leg to revel a bandage all the way down her leg.
"I got a really bad cut out on a mission so Dr. Keller wants me to sit tight and wait for it to heal." She explained "I am Megan," she said "and you are-"
"Tayla," Tayla said
"Yes," Megan replied
"Well I best get going," said Tayla looking at her the clock in the room.
"Why?" Megan asked
"Well I am quite close to my due date and Dr. Keller wants me to rest as much as possible." She was just about to walk out when Megan called out
"Would you like me to teach you?"
"Sorry?" Tayla said
"To play the piano," Megan said "look we are both stuck here and bored out of are minds I remember enough to teach you the basics, it would be a challenge but I thing it would help the both of us."
With a smile Tayla replied "when do we start?"
Over the next few days Megan's patients and Tayla's boredom pushed them both forwarded in learning (or relearning) the instrument. But then Megan was healed and allowed to go back off world.
"You know if you want I can give you the keyboard and some music and you could practice."
"I would very much appreciate it," Tayla replied.
Megan came back form the negotiation mission and walked over to Tayla's living quarters when she heard some very complicated music playing she walked in and saw Tayla at the key board.
"Le quattro stagioni?"
"Is that how you say it?" Tayla said stopping the piano playing
"Nice job, it normally takes weeks for even the best to get a piece down," stated Megan
"Megan," Tayla said "Never underestimate a pregnant woman's boredom,"
