Previously in 'Equestria's worst enemy'
Equestria has suffered a great loss...
Sometime after the defeat of Lord Tirek, Princess Celestia and Luna had a vision of the return of Equestria's worst enemy,
'Enigma, the Lord of Deadly Chaos'
A Draconequus and brother to Discord, who is a much more formidable foe than Discord ever was, he enjoyed watching ponies suffer, and was responsible for the destruction of Celestia and Luna's home 'Alicornia'
When Celestia became aware of this, she asked Twilight Sparkle to find an ancient dragon who as of now goes by the name of 'Spine' as he was the only one who knew how to track down Celestia's older sister 'Queen Rota' who travels the world keeping the earth in rotation, thus her absence during most events, they had to find Rota, as she was the only one who might know how to restore the Elements from the events of 'Princess Twilight Part II' Twilight set out to find him, leaving Rainbow Dash behind, to take care of an injured Sunset Shimmer, who fell through the mirror.
They found Spine in the Crystal Empire, running into Twilight's crush 'Flash Sentry' who decided to come with them,
Spine directed them to 'Flutter Valley' home to the Flutter Ponies, and the Alicorns 'Princess Sterling and Gold Lily' who rule over it.
They united with Rota, who explained to them that it was impossible to restore the Elements, which prompted Enigma to make a move...
It was revealed that since the events of 'Return of Harmony' he too had escaped his own stone prison, but had disappeared and hatched his own plan.
But upon hearing the elements are gone for good, he decided to make his move,
and that all his time, he had been hiding right under their noses as 'Flash Sentry'
After breaking Twilight Sparkle's heart, he unleashed acid rain on Ponyville, burning it the ground, the ponies however managed to escape into the Everfree,
After witnessing what they believed to be the death of Queen Rota, the remaining Mane 5, Spike, and Spine were transported via blue flame, just before Canterlot Castle came crumbling down on them.
Since then, the ponies of Equestria have not seen them, and they are presumed dead by most,
Flutter Valley was taken by Queen Chrysalis and the changelings, Shining Armor under Sombra's control, and the entire Crystal Empire under his possession, the Crystal heart broken, Canterlot abandoned, and taken by the Nightmare Forces, led by a their new king 'Prince Blueblood'
The ponies of Ponyville were trapped in the Everfree Forest,
Trixie, her parents, and her pet dragon 'Sputnik' however were in Twilight's caste.
After failing to stop his brother, Enigma disappeared, and to Enigma's eyes so did the ponies of Ponyville,
she took them to a location he and most of the land was unaware of, somewhere they could be safe.
It has been one month since they disappeared, and those who once lived in Ponyville, have not made any contact with the rest of the world.
REIGN OF ENIGMA, GAZE AT THE DARK SUN.
We see the ruins of Manehattan, nearly completely abandoned only a few select ponies remain inside, all their doors locked.
In them middle of the street, a cloaked blue pony walks up to into an apartment building.
She walks up to a certain room, and knocks.
We hear the voice of a very spirited filly.
"GO AWAY! PLEASE! WE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO YOU NIGHTMARE FORCES! JUST LEAVE US ALONE!"
The cloaked pony laughs and replies
"My Dear Babs Seed, hast thou mistaken the Great and Powerful Trixie for one of those beasts?"
Babs Seed quickly rushes to the door. opening it.
She begins to cry tears of joy. "IT"S YOU! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S REALLY YOU!"
They embrace in a hug.
Babs Seed continues
"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! I THOUGHT EVERYONE IN PONYVILLE WAS DEAD! IS IT JUST YOU OR?-"
Trixie replies
"Shhhhh, there will be time for reunions later my dear filly, Ponyville is ok, save Twilight Sparkle and some of her friends.
Babs cries again
"A-Applejack and Rarity?"
Trixie lowers her cloak over her eyes.
"I'm sorry to say... we have not seen any sign of them in over a month...
But Applebloom is ready to see you, mark and all!"
Babs Seed eyes sparkle "S-she has her cutie mark?!"
Trixie laughs again
"That's right, and she cannot wait to show you,
*Ahem* Speaking of your kin, where is your family? we need to get them quickly before-"
Babs Seed lowers her head.
"T-they were taken away,
the Nightmare Forces have been taxing us terrible, I mean...the one's that were crazy enough to stay, it's..it's just me."
Trixie hugs her again.
"Babs Seed...It's not just you... it will never be just you,
NOW COME ON! I'll take you to where we've been hiding, from what I understand, it's the only safe place left,
what with all the monsters in the Everfree"
And so Trixie lifts the filly onto her back, and rushes out of the building to take her to where they've been hiding, driving off in her caravan.
